i made a rather vocal complaint to nintendo about not having the Four Swords DSiware available on the DSiware shop.and suggested they put the Four Swords on the next zelda game. as a bonus unlockable or something.

do you think the new Zelda Link Between Worlds will have a hidden copy of Zelda Four Swords after you complete the game?

I have read from someone on another forum. They have beaten the game in both modes and there is a surprise after that. The person didn't tell what the surprise is so as to not spoil it. It could be what you say.

It's on ZeldaUniverse forums.

I'd be surprised if it did, and they didn't advertise it.

granted this is over a decade ago, but I don't believe Super Mario Bros. Deluxe advertised that it included The Lost Levels, but rather it was a pleasant surprise to be unlocked for something or another.

Who knows. Four Swords is really short though so I don't really care. Also, I have the eShop version.
I'd like to see a new Four Swords being included though, with the new 3D graphics.
Another thing I'd like to see is a playable demo of ALTTP included. Of course, I can just emulate it, but it'd be nice for non-techies to be able to try out the original if they didn't have the chance when the SNES was still new.

a better surprise would be a virtual console of a link to the past or even better, a link to the past with this new engine

That would be AMAZING.
Probably not gonna happen but damn, that's a good idea! seeing as it's the same map and all...

Good for you bro, but some people don't have it, and can't even get it since they took it down.

If everyone had it, it wouldn't be a special thing, which is precisely why it was up for only a limited time. Live with it.

Moreover, if you didn't download it when you had the chance, and you really want it, why not buy the GBA cart?

im sorry but thats just a load of baloney. its not a club Nintendo reward, nobody earned it by being a loyal nintendo customer. so regardless if they put it for sale on eShop you still GOT A FREE GAME! by doing nothing.

besides that, 4 swords is a multi-player game requiring multiple copies and multiple DS's. it just seems stupid to have a purely multipler game were nobody has a copy. (DS's do get lost stolen, damaged or traded).

and the GBA version is even more convoluted. because you need 4 brighter GBA SP AGS-101's, 4 copies of link to the past, and 4 Wireless link adapters.

all you needed was a 2 gba's (doesnt matter what type) a link cable and 2 copies of the game (flastcarts work fine with it)

yeah, but trying to play with 4 inch long link cable attached is just annoying, also i refuse to play GBA on anything but a Brighter Backlit SP.

it goes something like this:

-hey guys lets play four swords
-rummages through boxes for link cable
-after an hour searching finally finds all the necessary components.
-all parties sit awkwardly 2 feet apart because link cable attached
-cable pops out several times during gameplay
-after 2 minuets, aww screw this, lets just play Street Fighter on XBOX.

You may be bitter that you did not download it, but moaning will not magically get you a copy of it.

That's life.

The GBA cart isn't the same thing, and I never had the chance to download it, I didn't own a 3DS or even know of the game's existence until after it had been pulled.

And not bothering you doesn't magically mean there's nothing annoying about something not being available. And frankly you sound more bitter than anyone else here.

I sound bitter? Why? Because I had 3DS at that time and downloaded it? How does that make me bitter?

You just said it. You did not have a 3DS, and therefore, did not download it.

Dude, it's just a game... A gba port, at that.
It's not like you won the Nintendo lottery or something, sheesh....
