According to this, you cannot log into NA or EU PSN account with Vita TV. There is also concern that NA and EU version of physical games don't have patches needed to play on Vita TV.

I believe this is the case because the games that got Vita TV patches are only Japanese versions of games or games that were already Japan only, I had to download an update for Gundam Breaker last night so it can work on the Vita TV.

Curiously, who did you import from? Play-Asia charges obscene amount to import a Vita TV.

I got one on Ami Ami right before it sold out, it also explains why I got a controller-less version, the bundle was sold out.
I see. Once you get it can you try to log into NA PSN account? I doubt NA PSN Store is working but want to know if you can log into NA PSN account so you can sync trophy at the very least.

I do have a JP PSN account but that is strictly used to purchase some JP PSN games for PS3.

I can do that, especially since I found the 8 GB memory card that was packaged with my US launch Vita, I imported a 32 GB one for my main Vita and didn't use the 8 GB.

That was hilarious, the value pack had PS Plus in it which will come in handy for transferring saves.

Edit: I have one now

Wololo confirmed VIta TV cannot use anything but JP PSN account  ,

http://wololo.net/2013/11/14/confir...counts-can-only-access-the-jp-psn/#more-16562

A Japanese-only product is only tailored to Japanese accounts. What a shock?

Support for the other accounts will come when Sony brings the Vita TV over to the particular region (obviously). Only a very small amount of people are going to import a product like this anyway, so in the meantime, it's just not worth the hassle. I'm not sure how people didn't expect this.

Original Vita came out two months early in JP first, and you can log into NA PSN account back then.

I can explain why they'd region lock the system, it's those media services, there's an Ad on the system that displays services such as DMM, it can be disabled by changing the game language, I got rid of it by changing the language to English. Also, I seen videos of very uneducated people thinking they'd play western titles on it and are disappointed that it didn't work on it, seriously when I saw the services this thing and the fact that those patches for existing games had I knew it was going to be region locked.

As for me, everything I care about (games) work perfectly on it, I own 13 Vita games (9 Physical, 4 digital) + 4 PS games (Front Mission 1, 2, Alternative and 3).

So no US/EU cartridge game work on it?

Was going to import Vita TV, but now looks like I'll wait and hope Sony brings it to US.

They work. Watched a video last night and Persona 4 and Muramasa (both USA) were playable. You just can't use your USA PSN.

Not very many of them do, P4 and Muramasa work but Western only games like Injustice don't, Rayman Legends also works on it for some reason as I've seen that working on YT.
