Hacking Play Wii U Games from USB HD? From PS4 to Wii U.

Almost preordered PS4 but GF shot me in the head -- none of the PS4 game lineup interests her. We both enjoy Wii nintendo's games like super mario, COD or BF give us headache.

Wii was easily hacked to play backups and ISOs from USB HD. Is it possible with Wii U now? If yes, I'm going to buy a Wii U instead PS4.

Yes, if you looked for well about 30 seconds on Google you would of figured that out. If you can't find anything particular download as many .exe's and fill in as many surveys as possible you will find the leprachauns gold

I actually did search and found Wiikey is needed. Is there any softmod? I want to play Wii U games iso, not Wii isos in emulation mode. Thanks.

30 seconds Google search is all it takes. Creating a topic to answer 2+2 should be obviously unnecessary.

Sorry man, it's a common trend in this forum that people are assholes towards new members.
There is currently no softmod for the WiiU so you can play WiiU isos. the wiikey that you mentioned isn't out yet and we haven't heard anything about it since August if I remember correctly

Right now there is no way to play ISO's from an external hard drive since there is no softmod for the Wii U.
Of course on that note, you can however play games you bought off the eShop on an external hard drive.

Only softmod available is for the wii side of the wiiu , namely the vwii , same as the wii was , well virtually.. enough to play "backups" from a hdd , but obviously only wii games.

I too have decided to purchase wii u instead of ps4.
Games simply look much much more fun and hopefully wii u gets hacked so we can play emulators and backed up games on too

newersumm, that's what i thought as well. I have a powerful PC rig that plays COD/BF/Crysis easily, besides, there's always p2p download for PC games, yeeha! Nintendo's going to chaching in some green backs from me again. hehehehe

Don't hope for the WiiU to be hacked to soon. I think it will kill the system entirely and that would be in no one's interest. I hope it'll take at least a year more, so the Wii U can get settled a bit more...

Its not that he's new, not at all. Its just the same question being asked again and I vowed to myself that if someone can't be bothered with a minutes worth of research ether via Google or on the site then I can be bothered to give a serious answer.
