I heard Datel messed up the SD Launcher for the New AR's -- How did they fuck it up

Is the SD Media Launcher good??

Yes, the SD Media launcher is good. It can load homebrew on the Gamecube, and it has the newer Action Replay built into it. ( The newer Action Replay DOES NOT allow you to add new games, or codes. I'm gonna guess that this is your problem). But you're in luck, by using homebrew, you can load the older Action Replays (The ones the allow you to add new games and codes) from the SD Media Launcher. Search around for a file called "Action Replay 1.14b.dol", and put this file on a Gamecube SD memory card adapter, and boot it with the SD Media Launcher

I know the Newer AR won't add codes, Is it the same as the SD Media Launcher?

What? I don't really know what you're asking, sorry. The SDML can load homebrew from an SD card, and when you boot the SDML without a Gamecube SD memory card adapter in one of the memory card slots, it will boot into Action Replay 1.20 ( the new version ). But, like I said, by using homebrew, you can boot the older versions of the Action Replay from the SDML

Is it still worth it to get the SD Media Launcher ? Sorry if i'm hijacking this thread

If you'd like to run homebrew on a Gamcube, then yes, it's pretty much worth it. Either this, or a XenoGC modchip with a Swiss boot disc and a homemade SD memory card adapter

for me, sd media launcher was worth buying. you can also use Swiss to load action replay codes (creating cheat files on your computer and put them on your sd. no more painful code typing in the Action Replay menu).
but... as I got my sd media launcher, I got the ntsc-u version, even though I ordered the pal version. the old freeloader and old action replay are unable to load it. at least the action replay that says its wii compatible is able to load the foreign sd media launcher
