Hardware Got a 3DS XL with 4.5! Need Pokemon HELP!!!!

Ok, so I got a new blue 3ds xl with the 4.5 firmware. But I'm extremely confused on which games will work on the gateway. So I know that pokemon won't work for now but I heard about some firmware spoofing thing (Im a noob) that let's you play games from different firwares but how come pokemon wont work? and I have a copy of pokemon Y so when gateway gets pokemon working does that also mean I'll be able to play my original game of pokemon.

No. Animal Crossing doesn't work and I don't think the newest Monster Hunter game works either.

It will work once gateway 2.0 is out. It has emuNAND which it acts a 3DS running off a SD card.

No, it won't. emuNAND is booted by the 3DS cart itself. Unless hotswapping is supported, in which case it could work.

Since the GW3DS intends to emulate the latest firmware, it should be able to run the downloaded versions of the game. I don't see why you'd need a physical copy anyway, so yeah.
