has anybody tried a vWii to vWii transfer by running the Wii U Transfer Tool that is meant to be run on an actual Wii?

since the Transfer Tool is available as a WAD, It *should* be possible install and run it on vWii then follow the transfer procedure.

NOTE: I have no need to actually do this as I only own 1 Wii U, its more of that I wanted to know if it's even possible just because.

If this works, it would be great for people who want to move all their legit purchases over from their hacked vWii Wii U to their Unhacked one. (as the destination can run the transfer tool ment for vWii without needing to install a WAD)

Interesting, I figured this thread would be full of posts from people who would like to know the same question and people who have a second Wii U and decide to attempt this.

Seems like it MIGHT work. All depends on if the transfer tool is meant to check if it's on a normal Wii or not.

Not entirely related but I'm also not sure if one Wii U is able to accept transfers from several from multiple Wiis (not sure why but that just came to mind just now)

Anyway, would be interesting to see if this works or not.

Ancient bump here, but I attempted this.

Installed Transfer Tool on my original Wii system.
Used Bluedump to dump channel as a wad file to SD card.
Using YAWMM mod for vWii, I installed the WAD on my hacked vWii WiiU (Lets call this WiiU A)

The channel installs properly, but on launching it you are greeted with a nice error:

So for now, I don't think this is possible. :|

I have confirmed the Wii U is able to accept transfers from multiple Wii's (in theory). When I first realized downloading from the Wii Shop Channel of the Wii U did not link to Club Nintendo, I called Nintendo and asked them if doing a Wii-WiiU transfer again would muck up my originally transferred data. In other words, if I downloaded something new to my Wii that I transferred everything off of already, and transfer what I just downloaded to the Wii U, would it overwrite my existing transferred data. After a long hold (they had not been asked this question before), the kind gentlemen came back and confirmed that the tool is designed to allow the transfer of many Wii's data to one single Wii U. So whenever I want to download something from the Wii Shop Channel (my original Wii died around the time Wiiware came out, so I missed out on a lot of stuff), I download it on my original Wii to get the Club Nintendo credit. I then immediately run the Transfer tool and shift it over to the Wii U. I've done this countless times now without issue.

tl;dr - I have not done a transfer from multiple Wiis to a single Wii U, but I have done a transfer from one Wii multiple times to the same Wii U; Nintendo did confirm the former should work, creating a combined Wii Shop Account on the Wii U.
