Hardware Eiji Aonuma announces 3DS XL Zelda-Themed

It's been confirmed, the golden 3DS XL bundle for America has been confirmed to be released on November 22.
The bundle costs $219 and includes the game The Legend of Zelda - A Link Between Worlds.

Gah! It doesn't come with a Physical Copy of a Link Between Worlds, no sale from me. I don't like digital copies of games because if the system breaks, I could very well lose the game as there is no universal account system like PSN or XBL Gamer Tag for Nintendo's stuff.

More often than not you can contact nintendo, give them your serial number, and they'll give you a code to redownload stuff. I haven't done it myself, but I have heard of several people doing it, one of which I know in real life.

Unlike other bundles, this isn't installed on the 3ds, it's a download code included. You could sell the code and get a physical copy.

I might get it and also buy a physical copy, with the intention of putting the physical into the bundle box and using the download code to install on my OG Zelda 3ds. I'll keep the Zelda XL bundle as a collectible, packed with a unopened physical copy instead. Crazy I know.

And on the topic of unified system, it has to happen eventually, Nintendo might keep to themselves in terms of the larger console "race" but there must be at least one person working there that must acknowledge the need for the account system. I like having a bunch of games with me on the go without carrying the karts. Or where I don't have to swap out discs; the wiiU is in the living room but with digital I don't have to get out of bed if I want to play wind waker or something else installed on the system. No swapping = less clutter = more convenient

I really liked 3DS XL, but the color options weren't really interesting, until now.
This 3DS looks beatiful, it's what I've been looking for.

Me too, I was thinking of buying a Pokémon X and Y red 3DS,
not because I really liked it, but because the options are scarse.
Now I see a 3DS XL that I would really like to have.

Did not buy thepookemon ones because they did not tickle me fancy.
I always regretted not buying the black zelda 3DS back then.
Now, it's not just a few pokemon drawings on it. It's completely gold with a triforce, (and underside black with a triforce).
I always wanted to make my consoles a bit unique since bland colors are starting to tick me off.
(Hence why I bought a retro style decal for my black 3DS)
I will definitely replace my red 3ds for this XL.

A black decaled 3DS and a golden 3DSXL.

I'll probbly give my red 3DS to a friend...
