Hacking What is so bad about R4 Dual Core?

I was thinking of getting an R4 Dual Core but people are saying it is bad. What is bad about it?

It's a crappy R4 clone like 98% of the R4 clones out there.
The only good R4 clone is the R4i Gold (url on card: r4ids.cn) and that's only because it officially supports Wood R4.

there is one thing you didn't' understand

they are all clones, rip off\fake copy's of the original r4

Oh. I can't believe I bought an original R4 flashcart 2 days ago from a store but it was a waste of money 'cause I thought it worked on the 3DS Lol

I took a look at that already but it didnt't say anything about dual core :'(

because its a crappy clone with no support. so, you should come to the conclusion that there is no reason to purchase it.

crappy clones mean they won't get dsi/3ds firmware bootloader updates. it also means their official kernels are bad or run a very (VERY) old hacked version of wood, back when it was still open source (v1.20-ish). there could also be issues such as dldi patching, so some (or a lot) of homebrew won't work. as far as i can remember, the clone you are asking about was receiving updates from retrogamefan. so it may be able to run all ds games. if that is your only concern then i would research if he supported it and then make your decision. just know that everyone here who knows something about this hobby will tell you its a bad purchase.
