Hacking How to run R4 DS on 3DS without bricking?

I just got a standard R4 chip today but I've heard that it could brick the 3DS. How do I unbrick it or use it without bricking? Thanks for your time.

it wont brick a 3ds at all, in fact it wont even run on a 3ds. only the phat ds and the ds lite can use a standard r4ds.
you should get a r4igold 3ds(r4igold.cn version) or a supercard ds2. they will work on a 3ds

The old R4 will not run on the 3DS nor will the 3DS brick/nor will the card brick.
You do need a new card though such as the R4i Gold or Supercard DSTwo
