You would have better luck at hacking all the pokemon you want and putting it onto a retail cart of HG/SS or B/W then transferring it to the X/Y.

NAND based games and the digital version tag all saves made, restoring an older version of your save is going to get it deleted by the anti save tampering/hacking setup they got.

Go read up on the Animal crossing issues of backing up and restoring to get a better understanding of what your in for.

So if Pokemon xy doesn't use NAND saves, does that mean saves can be transferred like with powersaves and such?

No, I think those have some kind of protection to avoid this, but I don't have the info right know to show you; just don't get your hopes on doing that.

Perhaps you should read what the topic is about? The thread title and the first post might be an indicator. Check there.

My question was kind of sarcastic, you know? The fact that, indeed, it's impossible to dump or rewrite the gamesave, has nothing to do with my clarification about Pokemon not using NAND modules.

It had everything to do with the discussion that was going on. The discussion, being two-sided like that, still made it pretty unclear whether or not it was actually going to work, hence that question from him.

If I have two 3DS & back up the nand from the second 3DS to gateway is it possible to load the games that are in the nand even if I didn't download them on the 1st 3DS?

OK, this is a little awkward because I may have misunderstood what he said in his last reply... I thought he meant "I don't care about your clarification, still it doesn't work"; that's what happens when I read something quickly in my non-mother tongue.

Just a note about this, Nintendo can and will block hacked Pokemon from Pokemon Bank, so be wary doing that. However, as long as your Pokemon passes a legitimacy tester and you don't do anything suspicious (import 1000 Arceus or something) then you'll probably be fine. In fact, I'm sure the reason they didn't release Pokemon Bank right away is because of this hole.
