Only $30? Excellent. I was worried they were still going to charge $40, if not more to make up for the fact that they only expect sales from fans of the series.

I would prefer to get a physical copy so i can trade it in once I'm done with it, but its a smart move and decent pricing! Like it or not ...retail physical games is dying out.

According to source and facebook update it's 24.99€ not £24.99. Glad they actually converted it genuinely and not $=€ bshit. If they do the same with UK price then it's most likely going to be £19.99.

Going digital means prices will go down and they actually are able to release it sooner. I would rather buy game super cheap and forget it for awhile than buying it physically full price and then either let it dust up or sell it super cheap forward which doesn't help developer at all.

EDIT: This is newsworthy then how about Investigations 2 patch which just got released?

MY WALLET IS READY.

Seriously, I can't wait for the 24th October. I hope 5 is going to be on the same epicness level as 3 was, 4 was kinda lame compared to the 1st and 3rd.

I don't know, I think most people were hoping for a different sort of DD when Nintendo announced the 3DS.

Man, what a disappointment for us them all.

Muricans complaining about price.
Have you checked the 3DS game prices in Europe? I think not.
Even AA5 is cheaper in America than in Europe.

This. All good titles cost at least 40€. Maybe reason why nobody owns 3DS as how do you convince someone to get 200€ handheld to play 40€ games when there's 100€ android phones with free (worse) games?

When I read that it'll cost 25€ I was rubbing my eyes for several times. Yes 'muricans get 2,8€ cheaper but atleast it wasn't 29,99€ like I said earlier as €=$ seems to be modern trend. I actually was amazed that Mario & Luigi RPG got earlier in europe AND was much cheaper than most games!

Games in America usually cost $40, right? AA5 costs $30, if I remember correctly.
Uhhh. Retail games tend to be $40.00, and even then, $30.00 is quite reasonable for a game of this caliber. It's your loss.
Games generally go for anywhere from $19.99 to $39.99. Saying retail games all go for $40.00 is an ignorant presumption. Let me put it this way, I will not pay more than $20 for a digital version of a game. Perhaps it's my loss but I've got plenty of other games I can get physical versions of that I'm quite happy paying for. Why should I pay the same price for a game that has no overhead or manufacturing costs? Meanwhile this distribution system takes away the ability to purchase the game used, which I'm guessing is what they were going for...no used copies being sold means more money for them.

What about Europe? The price is good though, but I expect it to be much more expensive around here. eShop releases usually translate 1 USD/euro (not sure which) to 8 NOK, but this being a more complete game they will probably bump the price up.
