Monster Hunter 4 sells 1.875 million in 2 days only in Japan, according to Famitsu, also the 3DS sales spiked 298,000 units in the same week. Animal Crossing and Mario Kart 7 are the only games that topped these numbers. Capcom hopes to sell 2.8 million by March 2014.

Japan only, not WW. 2.8 was a low estimate on their behalf. This could top 4M LTD.

Only Pokemon Black/White has the highest opening in Japan of 2.6M. Considering the much lower userbase of the 3DS, this is impressive. Lets see how Pkmn X and Y perform.
