Take-Two Interactive, the main publisher of Grand Theft Auto V states that they expect that the hot release Grand Theft Auto V for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 made about 800,000,000 US dollars in just 24 hours!

Take-Two think they will break the record of Call of Duty Black Ops II which made 1 billion dollars in only 5 days. Dutch video-game retailer Gamemania states that Grand Theft Auto V has sold more then Call of Duty Black Ops II in it's whole life time.

Yeah its sold out. you can still get it trough bart smit's webshop and shops will receive a new shipment tomorrow as well.(Source: I work at a shop saw a note about it.)

i got it for free from best buy and promptly sold it on ebay.
no stores near me are out of stock.
literally everyone i know who owns a ps3 or xbox360 bought it though so i believe the numbers.
i'll get it if it comes to wiiu, or maybe eventually if it comes to xboxone.

When thet revealed that it would be in San Andreas again I was kinda skeptical.
Then they announced the 3 protagonists system, which made me doubt about how it would go.

I have to say that GTA 5 is pretty much GTA SA in HD.
Well worth the 800 million it got in the first 24 hours!

Like I said it's good and I personally really enjoy the games. I understand that I should be okay with a game I enjoy getting some attention, but this much attention is just... stupid. I mean there are lots of other very good games I like not getting the attention they deserve. So yeah I guess I just think it's unfair.

Well, GTA V is said to break COD's record soon. I enjoyed COD a lot too but like GTA I think it's overrated.

That's cause Rockstar is a mega company, just like the developers of COD.
If you look at Okami, one of the best games ever made, it hardly got any attention at all, yet it still managed to rank extremely high with reviewers (even tho they give COD a 10/10 cause it's "innovative" with AI in fish)


Last major GTA came out in 2008 (GTA 4 if you don't count CTW)

Definitely play the DLC, it's much better than the maingame IMHO. The Ballad of Gay Tony was the best part of the game really, those guys/missions were just epic!

On topic, if true, AWESOME. Fully deserved IMHO and good God, I hope they release this on PC!
