I'm having a really hard time loading Gamecube games from my SD Card. I've follow the "Softmod ANY Wii" guide on WiiHacks to softmod my Wii, and its been successful. I've also installed DIOS-MIOS Lite onto my Wii so I can play my Gamecube backups. The reason I'm doing this is due to the fact that my Wii's DVD Drive/Laser has kicked the bucket and discs no longer spin- therefore making the disc drive... useless, whatsoever.

I've read and followed many guides, tutorials, and videos to get my Gamecube backups working. I have the games on the SD Card under the proper folders (SD:/games/....) and the most recent USB Loaders (mainly tried CFG Loader and USB Loader GX- may try WiiFlow).

So far, nothing is working. I constantly get an error of some sort (fatal error) and I've searched up my problem and found that you need a disc in the drive for this to WORK? The whole point of this is so I didn't need to USE my DISC DRIVE! I've also read other places that you don't!

I am so confused and all I want is to play my gamecube games off my SD card without needing the Wii Disc Drive.

No, you don't need a disc in the drive for it to work, only some games require a game in the drive. Check this list to see which ones do...............

Do you have another SD card laying around? I remember I couldn't get my SDHC 8 GB card to work, but all of my 2 GB cards work perfectly

EDIT: Fixed Compatibility link

I'll look for one! And thanks for the website! I had it earlier but lost it.

My current SD card is a SDHC Lexar 4GB... so that could be the problem. Everything else loaded fine on it.

EDIT: I do have a 4GB Lexar USB Stick, could I use that? I mean, have my apps and everything on my SDHC card and only the games on the USB? Would that work?

Yeah, but you'd have to use Dios Mios, and not Dios Mios Lite.

Well I got everything installed (Dios Mios, Game on the USB, Apps on SDHC Card) and I was able to see my game in the DIOS-MIOS Booter... but when I clicked on it the screen just went black, same with WiiFlow... this has been pretty much the biggest problem I've had. It goes black every time.

Can you give us a list of steps of what you're doing?
