Yes, I use the admin account (bad practice, I know) and I even checked the file to always be run as Administrator.

Open the Network and Sharing center and see that both your connections are always showing there, and if not, you might have to reconfigure something. Check this thread to see that your configurations are set properly.

I'm not sitting in front of my laptop at the moment, but I can confirm that all three networks (Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and attwifi) were visible and always showing when I was attempting to StreetPass. I can even access the internet on my 3DS as well as my tablet.

Well, check that general HomePass thread, because all this program does is replicate MAC Cycler, so if MACycle has issues with a given network, so will MAC Cycler. I'm not totally sure how to troubleshoot these hostednetworks, but I'm pretty sure we have someone that is an expert on the subject.

Just tried using the Nintendo World ones, no luck. It doesn't look like my MAC actually changes when I select those / get the success popup.

That said, random is still working fine for me.

Hey guys, just checking in. I was the original creator of MAC Cycler. This is a greatly improved version made by Team Fail.

I'd be happy to help with any issues that don't have to do with the program. That includes helping setup the network, etc etc.

Thanks a bunch to everyone who used the original, and a shout out to Team Fail for improving it!

Hey Chaldron, do you have any idea why your original script would return "ACCESS IS DENIED"? It shows a path to /AppData/.../ztmp/ and a random different tmp****.bat and just stops quicker than you can read it (I'm pretty quick with a print screen though).

Hey I got 2 3dsXL right here next to each other and i cannot get them to streetpass each other no matter what i try! 1 of these 3dsXL was just recieved from a nintendo repair and i never had this problem before i sent it in, they might of removed the battery or something dunno if that would affect this issue.
I used this program and got both 3ds's to streetpass randoms with your cycler which is sweeet but they still cant connect to each other anyone know why this might be?

The original? As in, version 5? It should already ask to run as admin, but go ahead and try manually doing that.

I've ran it as admin and even changed the settings so it defaults to admin as any user but still no luck.

I'm running Windows 7 if that matters.

Hm.. might be some weird permissions on the temp folder, in which macshift stays until the program is closed. Can you make sure you can write to a directory in your appdata folder? Also, try on a different computer if possible, or temporarily create a new user in Windows 7 and try it in that one.

I can personally write to the folder. I had to manually add ztmp folder and I wrote a blank tmp.bat just to see if I could.

UPDATE: I got MACyle to work now. Apparently, the location on my drive was relevant. I moved it to C:\ (which coincidently is where the version of macshift that I can use from command line is) and now it seems that MACycle random is working for me.

I tried a Nintendo World MAC last night manually and I couldn't get a pass from that. Anyone else have that problem?

It seems to be a commonplace problem so I'll be taking a look at it soon (I don't know when soon will be - school is getting back in after the weekend and my schedule is going to fill right up again) and see if I'm having any issues with it.

Edit: All that's different in the code when using the NZ MACs is that it's just using the MACs at the top of this page. If you want to try putting them in as a custom MAC and see if they work for you, that'd be great.

Seems to me that neither the NW or Custom functions actually work; the MAC remains the same in both cases. Is macshift not being called?

Should be. I'll peek and see.

Edit: I'm bumping the version to 1.20 instead of 1.11 because someone was generous enough to decompile my program and basically overhaul it and get rid of any and all freezing. I've re-added my functions of saving settings, and I plan to release it soon. I need to know if anyone is even getting hits on the Nintendo Zone NY MACs, because I think they may have modified their MACs so they no longer work. Custom should work, take one of the prime MACs and punch that in. It should work.

Yeah, when I said I manually added the NZ MAC, I actually changed it via command line. It wasn't a problem with MACycle, but I was just curious if others were having the same problem with the MAC.

Well, the code that's used in the cyclers came from the custom input, since that's what came first. So all the cycling code is based upon the custom code, so if there's a problem with a particular NZ MAC, it's because of the MAC itself and not the program. So because of that, I've disabled the NZ MACs until we can get a definitive answer as to what's going on.
