Do you think Piracy and Hacking is OK?

This is just a poll on what people think of Piracy and Hacking of consoles and whether or not it is OK or wrong just wanting to see other people's opinions on this topic.

Here is my opinion, I think that piracy is wrong to some degree but it is really an iffy subject because if it is illegal to download pirated music than is it illegal to download the same music video off YouTube and keep it for free? So what happens then? It gets you thinking doesn't it?

Yes but, if I am correct it is actually illegal to hack alot of things now and technically can get you in trouble although that probably won't happen. So is it OK even if it is illegal?

CBS claims the right to a video on Youtube and takes it off. This has happened 3 times now and it really bugged me. But, somebody just uploaded the video again a few days ago and I recorded and saved it to my computer. They might take it off again, but now I can watch it whenever I want.

I've been playing pirated games since the Atari 2600, and loved it on my Atari 800xl, piracy really took off with the invention of cheap recordable media like tape and floppy disc. Of course it's ok, so many games to play with so little money.

I am neutral about it. I don't really do piracy, but some things are just not available where I live so what else is a guy supposed to do? I see some of the stuff the US gets and we dont and I think: Well aprently you dont WANT my money? Fine be me...

Piracy always was and always will be. it is a bad thing because publishers will think that its the mainr eason their games wotn sell (followed by used games) but they dont think far ahead and then tehy drop support for a system instead of realizing that people pirate or buy used because the new product is too expensive or not available at al or maybe just not worht the price they ask for.

As for hacking, I think if it enables us to use a system better than before because the system developer simply refused to offer a service out of cheapness or lazyness then so be it.
