Hacking Found R4 but have no idea what it is, help!

I have an r4, idk what brand it is, is golden , and when i boot it up, it gives me the chess ubisoft icon, it works with my ds lite, but not with the dsi... Any idea on how I can fix this?

I'm assuming you have an R4i

First, you will need to find out the website associated with your card, and then check if the website has an update file to allow your R4i to operate on your DSi's firmware.

okay well here are some photos of how it looks when I turn it on, and do you want pictures of the cartridge? I found it and had nothing, it had a 3ds letter in the back, and is gold? Idk if uts help, if you guys want pictures of the cartridge let me know, I took some of how it looks when turned on

No Because:
Your card has its current version on it.

That update might be for a newer card.

So its up to date.

mm if that is then how come if I boot up to the dsi it gives me an error?

Probably because they only bothered updating it for the 3DS and didn't check DSi compatibility (the DSi runs on different software and has it's own updates) since the 3DS is more popular.

Ok this card was last updated in 2012.

your Dsi was probably updated after this time so its block on your DSi.

No they just brought out a different card.

Click it you will see what I mean. they make a card update it a few times, then bring out new cards so they can make even more money.
