Hardware A Question about Wii Remote on Wii U Games

Hello! so my Wii remote plus got broken.
My original wii remote that came with the wii works and synced with the Wii U.
does the wii u games that support wiimote gotta use the plus? i dont wanna spend money.
and yes, i use to a lot. i have friends that play the wii u with me all the times.

No, if games require the MotionPlus, they will notify you.

But some games on the Wii U don't use it, like Sonic or Nintendoland (on some attractions)
