How should I go in terms of learning how to use an Android OS(only used apple os for phones so far) and eveutally rooting it?
From my experience, I would rather go with separate emulators. Retro doesn't give options for each specific emulator it has, just general settings. I had issues trying to map different keys with my PS3 controller. Really though, you should try them out and see for yourself. Most of the emulators worth getting are actually free, like the Gameboid one.Is Retro all in one emulator good to use or should I get the emulators separelty?
Thanks, btw does anyone know how to check what variant of galaxy s3 I have? Will get my phone on saturday. From my experience, I would rather go with separate emulators. you shouldn't be because you have the s3 with the dual core snapdragon s4 and 2GB ram, not the international edition with the quad core exynos and 1GB ramReally? Well, now I'm dissapointed already bought it.
So, should I still root it and get cyanogen mod ROM over it? Also whats the best gba emulator?, saw a couple like gameboid, myboy, gba.emu...
Good that you aren't getting the International edition, because Exynos sucks (as in, Samsung doesn't care about devs). I'm pretty sure they still don't have a stable/fully working version of Cyanogenmod on it. Anyway, you should be fine, don't worry. Rooting usually takes a few seconds and I would recommend that you install an AOSP rom, just to get rid of all the Touchwiz bloat. If you want links to stuff, just let me know and I'll gladly help.
Just to add to that, if you happen to still like some of the TouchWiz features, a lot of the apps can be acquired from the XDA Developer forums.
