fake clone get updates about 1-2 weeks after everyone else

if its not a DSTwo, R4ids.cn/R4idsn.com, M3, Acecard, R4 Origional, DSTT.

its a cloned fake card that mooches off everyone else

i list the fakes on my list as a few people have them
but there updates take a while

thats the issue i have with people

they never take your advice,

they believe cheapest is best

the longer the name the more better it must be

i really surprised we havent seen fakes like

Good news for non dstwo owners

R4i gold 3ds ( the '' real one'' : r4ids.cn) has annouced they are going to release a patch soon which will be compatible with the new updates.

While this is good news for people who own this cards its also good news ( possibly) for people that own clone cards such as : r4isdhc, r4i3d, ace3ds, r4i-gold.com. Since all these cards and cards like it use very similar firmware patches which run off the mainstream non clone ones ( r4ids.cn) its a very high chance that these too will be patched in about a week AFTER they use the other teams patch and modify it a bit themselves.

All of the clone carts i mentioned above ( r4isdhc, r4i3d,ace3ds, r4i-gold) use basically same versions of old wood kernel, the patches they use also all should work on all of them since they are built very similar. I say this because i tried and own every single one of those cards i mentioned and when a new patch is released for one of those i can use the same patch for the other cards. However i cannot speak for ace3ds since i don't really use that one that much.

R4i gold 3ds ( r4ids.cn), and supercard dstwo is DEFINATELY the way to go in terms of constant firmware capabilities , and up to date kernels. Know that if you decide to use and buy clones as a main use you are setting yourself up for corrupt flashcard and possibly never being able to patch depending on how cheap it is.

Once patches are released i will see if i can update the stance on all the cards i mentioned above to see which ones work on the new update.

You are right, you can choose not to update. But if you try to go into the eshop you will be asked to update, I think you won't be able to play online either.

I updated right away. Finally, I am at a moment in my life when I can buy my games and I don't need to pirate. No, I am not rich, but I save money for games I want to play. Right now I'm saving for Project X Zone and SMT IV.

It does not ask you once. It asks you each time you turn it on until you either update, or format.

Yea, it's pretty obnoxious about it once it's aware there is an update available.

What's worse is it only notifies you after downloading and confirming it, so cutting off wifi after that point won't stop it. Gotta' back up your stuff and do a system format.

Because getting prompted to update on occasion is just so damn unbearable.

It's not that, it's just that it can cause pretty easy accidents if someone else opens the lid or you don't pay attention. The system needs a way to disable the prompt and/or disable automatic downloads completely.
