and for anyone who's played the Kingdom Hearts games, (from II and any of the handhelds) you'll see that my username follows the way the names of Nobodies are created. My (middle) name is Sarah. I stuck the X in there and rearranged the letters to my liking. I used Sarah because Jessica, my first name didn't work out too well, and I don't like it as much anyway. (Plus, I used to be known as Sarah in some situations, like on the basketball team when we had two Jessica's.) I identify with Nobodies on a personal level (and sometimes think I could be one, jokingly.) [...].

That explains why I first read your name as XSarah16 when I saw your thread in NDS Emulation >_>

Honestly, the number of posts doesn't matter. What DOES matter is the quality of the posts that you make. I do however tend to agree with the username thing, it does become easier to tell who's unique and here to stay sometimes based on their username. I for one dislike having numbers and silly things in my name.

Back on topic.

Being a newcomer or not is a state of mind. You don't just stop being a newcomer overnight; it takes willpower to finally decide to stop being one. Firstly, you realise that being a newcomer is bad for your health, as well as bad for your social status and your weight in arguments. Secondly, you realise that newcomers are the cancer that is killing GBATemp. Thirdly, you make a plan to stop. And finally, you take action in any way you choose, and you stick to it.

Personally, when it was finally time for me to stop being a newcomer, I used the patches. It was too difficult for me to just stop getting my dose of newcomer for the day, so I couldn't stop cold-turkey. I stopped progressively and finally became a member after a few months.

It made me feel so ALIIIIIIIIIIIIIVE!

Yes indeed it does. I should change my name to xX1337N4RUT089Xx. Uggh, I swear, if someone presses authority with a name like that... I hate xx style names, 1337-speak, and birthdates in the name. Just incredibly silly.

When I was 13, and in my goth phase, I had nothing but xx names, lol. It's no mystery why I've forgotten them.

1337 speak names - well I just always found 1337 interesting before it was cool, basically. So, um. Oh yeah! Did you know you could use Google in 1337? I think Facebook too!

LOL I just do not take people seriously if they have names like that. I'm more lenient on the birthday year numbers and whatnot, but xX and 1337 just lose all credibility. My name, bless it, unique and all over the internet wherever I register. Most of the time.

Now that I'm what, 10 years older? I think it's safe to say I wouldn't take myself seriously either. I do wonder what exactly was going through my head at the time xD I should know, because it was my head. I had another username a couple of years back that made its way over to my Facebook URL and it's Kaioshoryuken1 - being a portmanteau of the Kaio-ken from DBZ and Shoryuken from Street Fighter. The 1 was because I was having registration troubles. That wasn't here though xD

I honestly don't even remember my own username origins. Might have been smashing keyboard at the time, and then making it into a reasonable word. The most reasonable idea is that it's a combination of Ryu from Street Fighter and the old series Hakouki, but fuck that I never really got into the series. Christ, I really don't remember how I created this user name. All I know is that it stuck and now I use it on a wide variety of forums.
