Would you rather have parts of the screen cut off or have the screen messed up from resizing?

Yep, JenesisDS is the best. Try enabling the "follow dpad" option to make the scaling issue less bothersome.

i don't know what your favorite games are on genesis, but some of my favorite games of all time on genesis were poorly emulated on jenesisDS. Some of the games had a 1/3 to 1/2 of the screen all messed up and it didn't play normal either.

Just play the same games on snes emulator. They did an amazing job with the snes emulator, and you can find many of the games that you played on genesis, also on snes.

I don't really understand why no one has used the SDK to make an exclusive genesis emulatro for DSTWO
Because the SDK is a piece of garbage and the Supercard team has yet to release a better version.

if supercard releases their version, that would be great, i hope they make it as good as their snes they created. Jenesisds is not worth playing.

As it stands right now all the DSTWO emu sucks. I hate the poor SNES emu. I can't stand the frame skip and slowdowns but i have high standards from owning a PSP and GPH Wiz. There's very little in the way of good emu for the ds but there is some really good stuff. DSpack mame emulator and Snow Bros also mame are some of the best emulators for any handheld. Lameboy is also excellent. NESds is also great but there hasn't been any good DSTWO specific emulators. Basically the DSTWO has been a failure. The Supercard mini is a better product, it's simpler, cheaper, with a nicer GUI. I have yet to find a use for the extra processor in the DSTWO. Supercard should have aimed a little lower and created EMU for less demanding consoles but they wanted to claim the SNES mantel even if it was a poor emulator that never got updated.

Fact of the matter is all DSTWO emu is better than standard emu, and right now it's the best cart on the market.

Well the Ds just fail in emulating hardware above pc engine at best, but it does great with those available.
Lameboy and NesDs are close to perfect, S8Ds is just great and Nitrografx is simply the best i found so far (i couldn't find any close to decent for PCe on my Psp)
Avoid emulating better on the Ds, they are just "proof of concept" and hardly enjoyable unless you really cant spend on a PSP which price is going lower and lower
Genesis, neo geo are hardly enjoyable due to scaling issues.. scummvm Ds is just horrible and for dstwo specifics, mamedstwo not see any update but i doubt it could get better maybe only sound wise which is not enough to enjoy.. SNes and GBa have frameskip making any game laggy, adding for snes scaling issue.. thats my verdict on the emulation offered by the Ds, so my advice is save for PSP if you want above 8 bits it is definitely worth it, amazing device plays almost anything smoothly up to Ps1 emulation which is.. priceless

edit : oh and about the OP, jenesisDs is the only option with Picodrive discontinued it has no sound and slowdown in most games, but scaling is fine
as for genesisds to folow d-pad if i recall hit the touch screen in game and there should be a menu and the option to turn on/off

I wouldn't be that harsh on the SCDS2. It's emulators don't fall THAT short of the PSP's (yes, I own both). If one has a DS and $35 they can get something close to a PSP (emulator performance wise) w/o having to buy one for $100 (used price at Game Stop). Of course there are way more emulators for the PSP than the SCDS2, but it's not a bad alternative.

Side note: NeoDS should have made your list of great emulators for the DS, IMO. I do most my portable emulation on my PSP, but use my DS for Neo Geo because it's so good (and the DS D-pad is way better than PSP's for fighting games). I totally disagree w/ Kolmayeul on that front.

JenesisDS is the best Genesis emulator for the DS. There was another one, but no one has updated it in forever and it lacks sound and game compatibility

Yeah.
The other one - PicoDrive DS, I believe - had no sound.
Oh, and it cropped off the screen.
It's only good if you want to play larger ROMs; I think Sonic 3 & Knuckles can't load on JenesisDS...

you are right i should have mentionned NeoDs is still much better than the rest, but i can't get over how the scaling is either too close hiding life bars or too far rendering everything ugly and pixelised, hence hardly enjoyable for me

i didn't try them neogeo on my psp yet is it good? i play those oldies on mame to my pc, with ps3 pad so maybe i got too high standards ^^

I wouldn't argue the DS's low resolution and scaling issues when emulating most things, but rarely does it make a game unplayable (unless it's text heavy, which Neo Geo games are not). I'm more about the playability than I am graphics (not to say I don't appreciate good graphics). While MVSPSP is as perfect as I could hope it to be at running SVC Chaos, if I'm having problems pulling off certain special moves because of the pad/stick, I'm not having much fun. So NeoDS it is then for me. Performance is almost exactly the same, and I'll suffer the scaling for better controls.

DSx86, DS2x86 are also brilliant, and there really isn't a good alternative for the PSP (that I know of anyway, please correct me if I'm wrong). Also, while I do the bulk of my C=64 emulation on the PSP if it requires a keyboard in any meaningful way, it's to the DS I go.

There are some great times to be had w/ emulation and a DS (even 16bit machines), especially w/ a SCDS2, if you ask me. In some cases bettering the PSP because of the touch screen or (IMO) superior D-pad on the DS...

Of course as pointed out Genesis on the DS is hopeless. I think a dedicated SCDS2 version could do much to improve that, but no one seems interested in developing one.

What's the thing with Jenesis, i just don't get it..i just dont...
why oh why can't you resize the screen as you desire like on allll other emulators, like on full-screen and all (but manly full-screen)
Are developers saying something about that?

I mean, that is really THE ONLY ISSUE on jenesis, emulator is just PERFECT!

The Genesis has a higher resolution than the DS, so it'd need to be scaled down, which would make it even slower.
