The major difference is that the Dreamcast can play used games.
It doesn't require you to be online.
Nor does it have other rubbish attached to it.

It just didn't sell well.

I was really surprised sony didn't adopt this evil precedent that m$ tried to get started...In an attempt to gain fans from the pissy anti-M$ crowd on used games. I say they stole the show.
