Whether it's to be mayor of a whole town, rid the world of mischievous ghosts or to collect a million coins, there are plenty of reasons why you should Pack More In and buy a Nintendo 3DS™... AND now you can get a FREE download game from Nintendo eShop too, with our Great Games Promotion!
Between 20 June 2013 and 31 July 2013, when you buy a Nintendo 3DS console from a participating store, and register your new Nintendo 3DS on Club Nintendo and complete the necessary steps by 30 September 2013, you can have your choice of one of these titles FREE via Nintendo eShop download!
With six great titles to choose from, the only hard part will be deciding which to get for FREE! For more information on the promotion itself, please check out the Terms & Conditions sections of this promotional page.
How to claim your free game download?

The six download games you can choose from as part of this offer are:
  1. Purchase a Nintendo 3DS console between 20 June 2013 and 31 July 2013 from a participating retailer in Australia or New Zealand.
  2. Use the Club Nintendo registration card provided with your new Nintendo 3DS system to register it at club.nintendo.com.au and complete the registration survey.
  3. Check that the email address linked to your Club Nintendo account is correct, then follow the on-screen prompts to choose one of the six free games available and upload a scan or photograph of your genuine purchase receipt before 30 September 2013.
  4. Once Nintendo has validated your purchase you will receive your unique download code by email. Additionally, your download code will also appear on your Club Nintendo account.
  5. Redeem your code by visiting Nintendo eShop. Go to Nintendo eShop through your Nintendo 3DS system. Scroll to the far left in the main page of Nintendo eShop and select 'Settings/Other', then tap 'Redeem Download Code' and enter your code. Then you can download your free game and enjoy it on your new Nintendo 3DS, anywhere, anytime!

I believe the US has already had their turn, two months or so back. In that case, it was a 3DS XL purchase. Between Art Academy, Professor Layton, and one of the Marios.

Man, the US promotions really fucking suck. Can we have one that doesn't involve buying a damned 3DS? Those of us who already own one would like a decent promotion every now and again.

Edit: Didn't notice it was AUS only. Although that doesn't make my previous statement incorrect, it does remove any relevance it may have once had.

Yep...although I wouldn't qualify for any of the buy a 3DS promos anyway, as I got my XL w/eShop games (used but perfect condition) for a better price any of these promos could offer (already registered by someone else too). But I can't help but feel sorry for the people who bought the system before/outside of these promotion periods. I guess these promos are mainly an incentive to buy the handheld, but it sucks that previous loyal customers get nothing. These promos seem like a better deal than the Ambassador program to me, or maybe I just sold my old 3DS at a low price at the time.

I actually haven't seen any promotions in Finland (still part of EU last time I checked). As for "So Many Games promo" it needs pin codes to put on nintendo club. We don't have pin codes in games nor nintendo club. And nearest store selling anything Nintendo related things are over 100km away from city where I live. And digital prices are also double and only couple places sell physical as Åland importing stopped. No wonder nobody owns 3DS here...

E: Actually Nintendo's importer here was some tiny toy company. It changed to bergsala recently so I have fingers crossed.

What I don't find fair is that certain people, aka myself, who are 3ds ambassadors & own an xl don't get to partake in these freebies.

what i dont find fair is, how ambassadors got games no one else gets. also, you got your freebies. thats just how it works. they give freebies so people buy more consoles. buy a console, get a freebie. you bought a console and got a freebie already.
