Gateway 3DS is the world's first 3DS flash card!
The GATEWAY 3DS TEAM proudly presents the first ever video proof that many thought impossible.
  • Supports all 3DS ROMs to date
  • Works on 3DS & 3DS XL consoles
Below we show an unedited video of the device booting 3 different backed up 3DS ROMS consecutively which are loaded on the GATEWAY 3DS device via microSD cards.
We hope you are as excited as we are!

It looks legit...but it just arrived so spontaneously, and without warning. It's fishy, but time will tell whether or not its fake. (It probably is)

two threads both at the same time....talk about timing
Anyway guess this is kind of real even if an update might block it or it doesn't exactly help homebrew in a way that I can see

So, a brand new poster posting about a new 3ds flashcart from a team nobody has ever heard of. Sounds legit alright...

Seriously though, it at least is a more convincing video then crown3ds ever posted. Not that I'm really holding my breath.

I didn't see any skips or breaks in the video. It looks... pretty legit.

I have my doubts, but this looks like the closest we've ever gotten to a 3DS flashcart.

As explained by Pong:
it is indeed not a fake but all the hardware you want for this has yet to be shown

ideally what this card does is make the Game Chip a Micro SD card
the card will have to be formatted correctly and the right size (eg. you will need, 512mb,1GB,2GB,4GB cards)
each card can only hold 1 rom at a time, as it takes up the whole space of the card
surely you get the point here of whats its doing

the next thing is Save Data
as you can see in the video there is only 1 save chip and thats built in, so if you change the game MicroSD without backing up and Dumping the Save data with a Save tool BYE BYE save
as it is wiped as the game recognizes it as corrupt so deletes it
so they will either have to provide a method of extracting/dumping the save or you get a R4i Save Dongle or something that does the job

basically this is a 1:1 clone sort of deal so only 1 at a time, no homebrew, no mods, no save tweaks

Hey this is interesting, one rom at the time, I actually like it !
It might beat the ' pirate's syndrome ' when you have too many games on your flashcart and don't know what to play !
Having a limited amount of spare microsd cards, will force you to concentrate on a few games at the time, actually having a chance to finish them.
Unless you are not too lazy to transfer games back and forth from your PC.

Anyway, if it's legit, it's a good start, let's see what other manufacturers will come up with.

It was easy to bypass some of the restrictions, as one of the admins left a registry key in the administrative shares drive, which allowed me to get around the blocking of some sites.
