This is their album sampler video, cutesy of Sumerian records, my favorite record label right now, followed closely by solid state.

I dont know who here listens to the metal of the caliber that I do, but these guys are absolutely nuts. Their strongest album was easily Ire Works, and many of the fans kinda skipped over Option Paralysis. I dont know, this one sounds amazing.

I think the Echo preview sounds great.

It's a great album...really good and Greg Puciato is a superb vocalist and live performer. My current fave off the album is Nothing's Funny purely because it's so singalongable.

(I was at the library streaming it from Pitchfork but sadly it seems that the stream is down now..:()

I grew up on Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, 80's Metallica and Megadeth, Pantera...so maybe I'm a little jaded about what "metal" is today... Most of the "metal" posted here just sounds like noise and vomiting. This isn't that bad; the instruments are discernible from one another and sound pretty good, the vocalist (when he's actually singing rather than growling) has a great voice. I'll just never get all of the heaving and roaring into the microphone...

Oh sweet. I havent seen anywhere i can listen to it yet. Ive heard prancer and i guess theres a "when i lost my bet" music video i could check out too.

werttcaughn, I know what you mean. I should have specified to "death metal". Not classic metal. which is amazing as well.

It was streaming on Pitchfork but the stream has finished now. BBC Radio 1 had When I Lost My Bet, Prancer and Nothing's Funny on the Rockshow too.

Also DEP are not even close to Death Metal. More Technical Metalcore...although they hate genre tags so let's pretend we're not talking about it.
