Well this is a surprising move by Capcom.
Ace Attorney 5 [Gyakuten Saiban 5] is releasing in Japan on the 25th July 2013
But it also seems that us lovers of Phoenix Wright will get to play the new game a LOT earlier than we all predicted!

The english title of the game is Ace Attorney : Dual Destinies

Here is the trailer for those wanting to see it!

This game releases on Nintendo 3DS : Fall/Autumn 2013
This game however is a Nintendo eShop release only, Why they didn't go Physical and Digital is a question unanswered.
Are YOU excited to be Objecting with Phoenix Wright earlier than you thought? Leave your thoughts below!

Here is a little bit about the game [Credits to CourtRecords.net]

Courtroom Hero Phoenix Wright Returns this Autumn
London, UK. — May 13, 2013 — Capcom, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, today confirmed that Phoenix Wright™: Ace Attorney™ - Dual Destinies will be available to purchase digitally on Nintendo 3DS™ across Europe and North America in Autumn 2013.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies, previously announced for the West as Ace Attorney™ 5, sees the return of courtroom hero Phoenix Wright. Set eight years since his last appearance in the courts, the first case in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies sees the action start in a destroyed court room. It’s down to Phoenix Wright and his team at the Wright Anything Agency to discover the cause of the destruction. Players will have to battle it out in court against Gaspen Payne, the younger brother of Winston Payne from previous Ace Attorney titles, as they defend the accused.

The much loved gameplay and features from previous titles in the Ace Attorney™ series return but for the first time in stunning 3D graphics, bringing the courtroom and characters to life and putting players directly in the heart of the action. Players will need to investigate each crime scene with the dynamic 3D visuals now making it possible to change views and zoom in on areas to uncover any hidden evidence or clues. In the court room the drama continues as players present their evidence, challenge witnesses and begin to unravel the truth behind each of the cases in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney -Dual Destinies.

Joining Phoenix is the young Attorney Apollo Justice and new Associate Attorney Athena Cykes. Athena’s unique ability to psychoanalyse witnesses introduces a brand new element to proceedings. Using Athena’s ‘Mood Matrix’ players can detect the emotional state of a witness and tell whether they’re surprised, angry, happy or sad. Players can compare these feelings with the statement given by the witness, point out any contradictions between the two and challenge the witness testimony.

This may sound stupid but why rename it from Ace Attorney 5 to Dual Destinies? I just find it a bit strange.

Capcom is fearful of wasting money on physical copies of the game in the West. The answer isn't to boycott the game because you hate digital, people! BUY IT. TELL YOUR FRIENDS TO BUY IT. The only way we're getting more Ace Attorney games is by showing Capcom that people love Ace Attorney.

DISCLAIMER: Before you get overly excited and stuff, please remember all this does is POSSIBLY INCREASE the CHANCES of getting a physical release.

Okay? Keywords are possibly, increase chances.

Now that we've established that, on the the main point.

Court Records said:
Though Dual Destinies is currently slated only for a digital release, Capcom’s Chris Svensson has acknowledged that the door isn’t fully closed on a physical one. Posting in the Capcom-Unity forums, Sven had this to say:

In the days after we announced AA5 for the West being digital only, and the requests of others for a physical release, we mobilized our US team to put together possible options that may address the concerns.

As a part of that process, Eshiro-san and I have met mulitple times, including the morning where he gave the interview where he made the statement above. I was not quite ready to open the possibility to folks until we had a few more ducks in a row but Eshiro suggested he mention the potential in an an interview he was having that afternoon.

So, if you’d like to be heard, you can post on this thread (I’ll leave it open), PM me on Capcom-Unity or hit up my twitter (@chrissvensson) as many folks already have. I need some additional ammo and these requests fit that need.

If things go well and demand is there, in a few weeks I may be able to present an option that puts the ball back in the fans’ court (in “tennis” terms, not “of law” terms). I want to stress the word “may” so as to not misrepresent the situation or promise anything. We are trying. Again, timing and pricing would be at a disadvantage to the digital option as an assumption you should make.

On the AAI2 front, Eshiro is very much a man who could push make that happen so I’m glad who whoever asked that question, did so, but I’ve got nothing more I can add there. I feel the point above is valid.

Again, it’s worth stressing that this is no guarantee of a physical release, even if there’s fan demand - however, the fact that Sven has provided an official route to requesting it, as well as held ongoing discussions with Eshiro, is encouraging.

If you want to show your support on Capcom-Unity, you can do so by posting in the topic there otherwise, hit him up on Twitter and keep spreading the word. Who knows what might happen?

So there you go. Get posting. If I am to be denied of the physical release that I want, at least I want to do everything in my power to prevent that in the first place. :) Good luck guys. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

tl;dr Go here and show your support for a physical release for a chance to get this considered.
