Homebrew gbaemu4ds: GBA emulator for DS(i) (DSi Entry)

Is the graphic better if you use the sc Version and the upper screen on a 3DS

  • I can't do that (have no 3DS) (have not tested that)

Made an account to ask this.
After a day of trial-and-error, I have gotten Pokemon Ruby to work, to do this I have to select flash 128k. When I save in the game, it seems to save OK, but when I shut it off and open it again there is no option to continue, just "New Game" and "Options".
When I try to save in Fire Red, it says "Save error" and something about replacing memory.
How do you successfully save?
Also, I'm using it on a DS Lite with an Acekard 2i.
Thanks

Saving isn't automatic; once you save in-game, press Y.

Ruby should work fine with any (E) ROM, and maybe even a (U) rom.
However, FireRed needs the [f1] ROM to save consistently.

Git code is being actively worked on, but it isn't stable enough to even put out an alpha (I'm assuming).

That just means it'll be so much more awesome when it's released.
Hmm. i noticed...
but it looks that he's (for the time being ) solely working on the UI(his latest commit says-"added new gui")
Though i don't have any problems with the gui; it's plain and quite functional.
It's the game compatibility i hope ichfly fixes quickly;)

Here https://github.com/Nebuleon/TempGBA/tree/master/TEMPGBA + you get the default list from the bin download. I will add this folder with the next update of the source.

Yes the current Version on git has some noise in the background.

This is a gba emulator for DS

This emulator is working and tested on r4i gold from www.r4ids.cn.

Install:

for wood user (v1.45 or newer) (If you use use an older Version you need to update as this won't work on an older Versions):

1. Download and unpack the latest Version (link) to the root of your SD
2. copy the gba homebrews and roms you want to play to your flashcard (the ending must be .agb, .bin or .mb (.gba dose not work at the moment (this does not work because wood disallows it. I can't fix that. Ask the creator of wood)))
3. finished you can now lunch your gba homebrew/roms like the DS homebrews/roms

default (Pokemon red)
sound on
scal off
Vskip 0
Vsync 159
newirq

Mario Advanced 2 - Mario World
sound off
scal off
Vskip 0
Vsync 159
newirq

Yggdra Union: We'll Never Fight Alone
sound on
scal off
Vskip 1
Vsync 159
forceHblanc

if you want to add some a tool will be released soon

==some homebrews/roms crush==
Try to hold the X button at the point they normaly crush it may work.

Load an other mode example oldirq/newirq/advirq/HblancDMA/forceHblanc.

Try to load patch.pat as patch and than load the game as usual (normally only works with advirq/HblancDMA/forceHblanc)

Hi ! I have an R4 Revolution for DS (doesn't work on DSi, not SDHC) and when I start a game (with wood, latest version), I have this :
"Warning, you try to run gbaemu DS on R4 (DS) - Revolution for DS gbaemu may not work, press A to continue and ignore this"

I press A, and the game (Pokemon Leaf Green) start
But, the save is corrupted, and the game freeze when I walk in the grass, and when I try to open the trainer card.

With Ruby or Sapphire, I have the message "The internal battery has run dry"

Can you help me please ?

LeafGreen doesn't crash when you use "patch.pat". Select it, then "patch", then launch leafgreen.

That's because the RTC (clock) is not emulated. It'll only affect time-based events (like berries growing, or drawing lottery tickets), but saving will be fine.

A) Deal with it.
B) Patch your ROM with the RTC fix. AFAIK, it won't enable the clock (how could it?), it'll just disable that message.
