No director attached yet but TJ Fixman, the writer for the series, is set to write and several of the main voice actors are set to provide the voices.
For those not so familiar with the series it is a series of 3d platformer games, though platformer in the later Rare sense rather than straight mario clone, made by Insomniac (Resistance series) and published by Sony as about the only to resemble a proper Sony mascot now Spyro went multiplatform and crash bandicoot disappeared into the ether. Of all the titles like it today it is probably one of the best suited for adaptation into a film as well.

You know, of all Sony's current franchises, I think this has the most potential to work out. The story and characters would be pretty well-suited to film.

Granted MK was the only game turned movie done fairly well out of the bunch but SF the Movie could have been a hell of a lot better than that trash that got rolled out I mean they could have even used better actors, it's not like Capcom didn't have a decent budget for that film.

@Chary - Huh? This isn't Jak and Daxter, and there isn't a Jak and Daxter movie announced, except for the compliation of in-game CGI DVD that came out last year (which was a new definition of lazy). Also, anyone that's actually played R&C knows just how well suited for a movie it is.
