A new thread wasn't necessary :/
This was posted in the main thread... and you should start using the edit button a little more.

There's better footage out there, the youtuber nintendomination has a 1080p, front view with direct audio feed video of LttP 2.

I'm oddly execited and dissapointed.

I'm sick of top downs on handhelds. They seem a lot more fast paced and easier than 3d zeldas, and you never get to just stand there and enjoy the scenery.

Oh, then in that case:

The top down view works.
Yes but it also means that the game has to be designed in a different way. Some people don't like it, not me though.

I don't think that just because it's 2D it will be a shorter game, I'm willing to bet that this will take just the amount of hours as OoT took to complete.

Yes. Exactly.
To me, this camera view will work better than 3rd or 2nd person view for this game.

Topdown obviously means 2D, and they're incredibly easy to power through, most likely due to the fact the biggest thing about those type of Zeldas are the overworlds. When you can see nearly everything in a room at any one-given time, it makes the puzzles so incredibly easy t figure out, unlike a 3D zelda, where the extra dimension might make you climb stuff, use precision jumping and better timing, and actually looking around.

And its hard to believe Nintendo will do something to this game like in Skyward Sword where even getting around the overworld was a difficulty all separate from the dungeons.

The only Zeldas that ever gave me any challenge were Legend of Zelda and Link to the Past, not because they're hard, but because I was 5-7 or younger when I played them.

I'm glad to see a new Zelda comming this holiday, but its not what I wanted or expected from Nintendo. Also retro link looks ridiculous.

use precision jumping and better timing,

Precision jumping? Better timing? Uhgg... the last thing I want in a Zelda game is to have to press jump three pixels from the edge of a platform! If you haven't been able to get something done in a couple of goes you need to be able to have the confidence to say "right... that's not what I need to do", and figure out another way of getting where you need to go. With top-down Zeldas (I have no idea about third-person-perspective Zelda's - no interest in them) uncertainty about what you need to do is fine. Uncertainty about whether what you're attempting is the right thing to do has no place in such a game.

and actually looking around.

I spent a long, long time looking around in LTTP. And am currently doing the same thing in Minish Cap. So I don't really get your argument

I'm not sure what you mean? Do you mean puzzles actually getting between the the dungeons? I can't remember if LTTP had a great deal of that... I think there was a bit of it between the dungeons in the light world, not so much in the dark world. Links Awakening and Minish Cap have a lot of puzzle solving between the dungeons.

If you don't mean that then please clarify?

Also retro link looks ridiculous.

Looks like Link to me? I don't know... I never get it when people complain about how a character looks anyway. A lot of people have high personal expectations about how a character looks in a game. These kind of people will always disappointed because, unsurprisingly (look up probability), the designers of the game are almost always going to have a different take on it.

So is there going to be anything with the dark world? I cant be the only one wondering that.
I hope so.supposedly the dark world is purified after aLttP, but then again, supposedly "the Master Sword sleeps forever" after aLttP also, and yet it's seen in the trailer... so who knows?
