Gaming Any SC2/HoN/DotA/LoL Tempers?

No, I am sure that once I reach level 30 I will be ready. I don't care how bad I am or if I end up in Bronze 5 because I know I am not a very good player so that's probably where I deserve to be.

Do you know how to support? How about jungling? If it's a "no" to both, you probably won't have an enjoyable time playing ranked.

Well dota has a steep learning curve(like really steep) if you want to be good, since naturally dota is competitive, you have to invest time, and it sorta does pay off when you get good. You'll have to read a lot of guides, learn most(if not all) heroes, as well as items. Trying it and not know how to play is completely natural

Best if you play with someone who can teach you(or learn with you)

Legit, you have to play every character in that game once or twice. You have to take 2 hours for each character you seem good with and learn to farm. 40 minutes by yourself, 40 minutes against a bot, and 40 minutes with a friend and such. Afterward, you have to learn to ward. Then you have to enjoy playing Dota 2. I stopped playing Dota 2 because it stopped enjoying it. You don't have to be like me. I was bad. You could be good. Or just stick to League of Legends like I am.

I know im a bit late here, but Quinn isnt much of an ADC in my opinion. Her ult is pretty much useless in team fights. The only use i think it has is for 1v1 brawls with the enemy ADC. In addition, what i really think is that Quinn needs some buffs to really get her actively engaged in her true potential at bot lane.

Useless ult?
-Catching the carry that tries to slip away on low hp with Valor is brilliant.
-Flying into a team fight where loads of the enemy are low hp with Valor and re-activating the ult for easy multi kills?
-About to get ganked but fly away with valor?

Blind, backflip escape mechanism and bush scout, and valor who marks enemies vulnerable for extra damage. She's bloddy amazing, people just dont know how to use her.
She requires a bit more skill so people write her off for easier overbuffed champs.

dota 2 at low level would not be a break. it'll only be fun if you're very good and can pubstomp real hard.

it goes from easy pubstomp noobs>try to carry other people>2gud4u level so go back at carrying them again.

however if you want to keep pubstomping, i have around 40 invites so you can create several smurf accounts.

Tried out Heroes of Newerth. Remembered how butthurt some people are on there.
My first game, I wasn't doing very well. Some dude on my team was yelling at me, calling me a dumb**** repeatedly, insulting me whenever I typed in chat (even when I typed something as simple as "mid mia"). When I told him that I was new, he told me to go back to LoL (I didn't even mention LoL BTW).
In the endgame chat he was still raging, so I told him to calm down, and he refused, and responded "you are a dumb**** and deserve verbal scolding".
Well, I know I should've let someone else mid, but I didn't know anyone was going to be this angry. I always thought LoL's community was bad, but stuff like this actually makes them look much friendlier compared to the competition.

I play SC2... back when I cared I'd play a lot of 1v1's and 2v2's (diamond/masters if I'm playing with a good teammate) but now I just screw around doing dumb strategies and play arcade games like Hero Attack, which is like the SC2 version of DOTA. Except more fun and with less of a learning curve. (I tried DOTA and it feels rather poorly made, overly complicated, and requires you to invest way too much time, which is ironic given that Hero Attack was based on it, to my knowledge. Haven't played LoL though so I don't want to judge that too harshly.)

I don't think it's poorly made, but it's complicated and does require much of your time.
It's not something that can be picked up easily and you're godlike. It's sportlike where you'll have to invest time to learn how it's done and practice to perfect your skills. e.g. bmx biking, skateboarding, etc.

some games just happen to use the same mechanics so it's not that harder, like how fps mainly requires you to shoot enemies. For some or most fighting games requires you to memorize moves and pull them of at the right moment.

rpgs are mostly stats, armors/weapons, skills/abilities.

sorry, I meant that it was poorly made because the level-curve is high and I feel like the gameplay is a little slow and the amount of knowledge you need on heroes is a little excessive

but this has a lot to do with personal opinion in that I like simpler things and that I haven't played a lot of it

DOTA 2 is also a beta, that has to count for something

anyhow I agree with the whole mechanics thing you make a fine point
