Club Nintendo Europe now offering reward stars for 3DS/Wii U download titles

Nintendo of Europe's Club Nintendo has offered reward stars for DSiWare and WiiWare downloads in the past, but did not offer any for 3DS and Wii U eShop downloads for a long time.
They are however now offering 50 stars per downloaded title for these systems! The majority of software is eligible, including eShop exclusive titles, and free downloads such as Pokédex 3D, Nintendo Video, Nintendo Letter Box, Wii Street U and promotions like 3D Classics Excitebike/Kid Icarus.
Virtual Console titles do not appear eligible for reward stars however.

Hop onto your region's Nintendo website, log into your Club Nintendo account and see how many extra reward stars you can redeem with those pesky surveys. I redeemed 1350 stars in total today, 400 of which were from free downloads alone!

What I really don't get is, why do they expect my answers for the survey would change so much that I'd have to go over the whole damn thing every time?

I also have no idea where I need to go to do what you say.

There really isn't anything on the starshop left for me though; I already got the snes-classic controller, some mario maps, ar cards and all the other stuff. Even got a kirby and zelda game once.
Back then, I really hoped they would add more games and other goodies.

The revamped Nintendo of Europe site is a mess to be honest, trying to figure some things out on there or getting it to respond is a mess of itself.
Admittedly I want more and better goodies to arrive in the Stars Catalogue too, I have 5240 stars now and I'm holding onto them until something better comes around.

To start answering the surveys, you need to go to the site, log in, then go to the Club Nintendo section of the site and go to view your registered games.
You should see a list of all the games you've registered manually, along with the download titles if you have linked your 3DS and Wii U properly.

Wish they would update the gifts. I got the Mario kart trophy, which is awesome and the ? block, but still have stars. Get the XL docks on there, that the Japanese have on theirs.

Taking surveys is a pain because their site is slow as sh*t since months.

The revamped Nintendo.co.uk is awful, 404 error pages all over the place.
Try clicking a survey link to find it's a survey for a game that you don't even own. I've had the site try to get me to do surveys for Liberation Maiden, Nano Assault EX, Trine 2 Directors Cut and a foreign release of Nintendo Letterbox!

Meh...I'll pass on this one. The rewards don't quite attract me. If I googled correctly, this should be the catalogue you can buy with it. And I wouldn't want most stuff even if it was free: I mean...look at it: it just turns you into a walking commercial for nintendo products.

Wake me up when they decide to put point cards for the 3DS or wiiu on display. That way you can get something valuable out of it.

I would still grab the reward stars in case something really good does show up on the stars catalogue, there might be a limited time period to claim the stars for your downloads.

They had Mario Kart 7 trophies a few months ago, they're all gone now and they were hot stuff, the shell cup especially.

I mean better to have some points and nothing to get, than no points and something to get, right?

I wish, otherwise the title would've been "Club Nintendo Europe now offering 3DS/Wii U download titles in exchange for reward stars" or something.

Hopefully someday anyway, it's a much needed promotion.
