Announcement: I'm Going to be M.I.A.

Hey. I've thought about just making this a blog, but... well, who reads blogs, right? I think this little message will reach the right people here.

Guys, I've had nothing but a blast here on the temp. From the bottom of my heart, I mean that. From the terrifying highs to the dizzying highs to the creamy middles, from the break downs to the make ups, I don't regret a second. As embarrassing as this sounds, I've made some really good friends here. You guys know who you are, and I can't thank you enough for all the good times.

But... I think it's time to move on. My first year at college has certainly been a challenging one, and the work only continues to pile up. Not only that, I've found myself drifting away from video games. I've been scared to admit it, but they don't dazzle and enchant me like they once did. Maybe it's just a part of growing up; I can't say.

So I think it's time I bid this site adieu. It's time for me to move on.

That's not to say I'll be gone forever; I might check in every now and then. Plus I'm planning a cross country trip, so who knows - Maybe some of us can meet up?

And hey, if you catch me at the border, I've got visas in my name.

I remember when back in the day I used to care if people stayed or left. But all of the old gang is gone now, people who I actually counted as "friends" here have all fucked off to other places, it feels like another life when we were all together here in the eof. Now I barely remember who any of them are.

Yep, there is a fine line on forums like this, it is very transient, between you being missed and you barely being a memory. Sooner or later every single one of you will be forgotten.

Well to be fair his OP stuff is far better than most. Hell, we're starting to see the whole "copied the whole article" thing going on.

But since user-submitted threads are like, never put on the front page anymore... nobody really cares since they don't have to specifically look good, I guess. Which is a chicken-and-the-egg thing, most people nowadays don't try to make their stuff look good with a unique writeup since the whole "put a little effort into it and we might front-page it" doesn't happen.
