The producer of Miiverse, Kiyoshi Mizuki said during a talk at the Game Developers Conference that the Miiverse mobile and web browser app should be available by May and will, at first, provide basic Miiverse functionality, like posting comments, drawing doodles, and viewing and engaging with communities.

A 3DS version of Miiverse is also in the works, although a release date was not confirmed. Mizuki said unlike the Wii U, on which all games have Miiverse support, there will be existing games and apps on the 3DS that won't be Miiverse compatible.

Coming from Brian Davis, from Next Level Games
Fun to hear Kiyoshi Mizuki speak about Miiverse's creation, game integration, and future additions. Web version available April/May.

Web browser version will be out before the 3DS. looks like 3DS is going to get a fully blown out Mii-verse with existing games not taking advantage, so newer games will be coded for Mii-verse interaction.

With only 32MB OS memory, I wonder if it's even possible?

I don't mind that older games won't have miiverse hubs, I just want miiverse as an alternative to swapnote. Takes too long for a conversation.

I don't get why older games can't be supported, really miiverse is just a message board right? It's not like they would have to reprogram the old games/patch them. Unless they mean where it automatically goes to the community for the game you're playing or for actual posting that some wii u games support like super mario bros u.

What does it even mean for a game to be miiverse compatible? Like the "Your friend (x) beat this level with a high score of (y)!"?

If it's gonna be a full app, then it will most likely need integration. But if it can have firmware-level "quick" version (like the 3DS Camera having a "quick" version when you hold L/R), then I'm pretty certain you can make it work for ANY game that can be suspended (no DS/DSi games).

What I definitely want to see is if they integrate it with the Game Notes feature, because Game Notes CAN capture stills of the 3D topscreen and the touchscreen, so screenshots is definitely viable there.

Let's hope Miiverse gets firmware-level access so we can just suspend a game, go to the Home screen, launch Miiverse and post screen caps.

It's happening: Nintendo is neglecting their own handheld to develop for smartphones and web browsers first and foremost. #nintendoomed
Nintendo is integrating everybody with smartphones and 3DSes into their own gaming social community, which is Miiverse. It's an open invitation for everyone to join in on Miiverse, and if this succeeds, it has the potential be the Facebook of gaming in terms of size. Because you don't need to be a Nintendo fanboy for it, you just need a smartphone.

I'm thinking integration is like having a Miiverse link in-game. Obviously, older games won't have links to Miiverse directly, but probably new games would have something like, "Like this on Miiverse" and it posts whatever that is into its own game forum while you continue gaming.

Its most likely the ability to post screenshots and scores, I'm pretty sure 3DS miiverse will arrive before Animal Crossing is released (June 9th?), that game and Miiverse are a perfect match

it looks horrible! Thousands of tiny miis running around your screen?

I have heard the stories of Nintendo banning people too who were asking for help. Nintendo justified it has them spoiling the game.

It is holding my bride-to-be back from taking the Wii-U seriously. She won't touch it with a 10 foot poll. And she loves her lack luster console known as the wii.

Uh, you're thinking of Wara Wara. MiiVerse is the message board.

And those stories are fake.

Ahaha, I do think that if you are dumb enough to spit spoilers out, then you are dumb enough to be banned. Seriously, a little common courtesy.

No, you're being dumb; people would give vague descriptions only those that far would know what they are talking about. Nintendo then banned them the moment they got a correct answer from another player, as well as the other player. It seems the spoiler thing isn't the real reason people are being banned, but instead because nintendo wants players to buy the guides for the games. Nintendo won't come out and say it, but it has to do with them losing a tiny bit of profit. This is why private messaging is for, however there will always be idiots who don't use it.

You can't be serious. Posts get deleted (Or marked as spoilers by the admins, IDK) if they contain spoilers and aren't marked as such (There's an option when posting to mark a post as a spoiler, which will hide it unless you open it). Are you really that stupid to think that they're banning people for helping other players? I've been given help with a few things in ZombiU over Miiverse, and have also given other people help, and I have yet to be banned for it.

Your info about miiverse is just wrong.

One word for this guides conspiracy, internet.
If they can get on miiverse, they can go to the browser for information.
Although, getting it from miiverse may be faster.

Never heard about people getting banned for spoilers.
