Gaming Do people read guides for harvest moon games?

There's just so much things to do, and for some games if you don't do certain things you wan't be able to even meet the banchelorette? I remember the nice picture guides site, ushi no tane or whatever. DO you recommened me to use a guide or play blindly?

You should only use a guide if you're stuck or need to clarify something.
I feel half the fun is sucked out if you're constantly using a guide. Just my opinion.

1st time, play blindly (only use a guide if you get really stuck at some point)
2nd+ use guids to get the person you want

I have used guides for reference but never followed them word for word.

I just glance through them for certain things so I don't miss anything important.

For example in Harvest Moon ANB you need 10 honeycombs in the second season, but if you didn't get enough in the first season you have to wait a few seasons stuck on the same goal for honeycombs to come back.

I don't use the guide only when I need to make friends or find a girlfriend for me. I am in 5th season and unlock the mine and trying to build my town.
