Gaming Bugs in Virtues Last Reward EU version - YES or NO?

Sorry if this has been discussed before, but I didn't find anything. So the US and JAP version are buggy as they freeze on you and corrupt your save data in the PEC room. Rising Star Games said on Facebook that they couldn't reproduce this in their master code or something, so one have to wonder whether the EU version is bug free.

Can anyone confirm that this game crashes after saving in the PEC room or other puzzle rooms and corrupts your save data?

It was actually said on their facebook page, as a reply to someone else 's question.

now it is best that you only save during novel parts, and preferably not when there are characters in front you, just plain text. because I heard a story of someone that he did experience this game-breaking bug during the novel section.

I myself do hope that they will come with a patch shortly.

this is all the information I know from RSG according the bug.

oh and Aksys confirmed that they were working on it too.

Damn, it wouldn't hurt so much if this bug would occure in a common casual game or something, but in a big novel?? Hopefully there will be a patch like the one for Ridge Racer.

I've actually been saving in every single room so far. Even when people are talking, nothing's been happening. Though I haven't reached the "PEC room"... whatever that is.

Froze on the PEC room twice for me. No save corruptions so far, 20 hours in the game.

I managed to complete the game with no save corruptions but i was aware of the bug before i bought the game and thus refused to save in ANY of the escape rooms, i think if you stick to saving in the novel/talking sections of the game you should be fine.

However even tho i didnt save in any of the escape rooms, i had 1 freeze that was in the library escape room, it didnt corrupt my save but did require me to hold the power switch to turn off the console since i couldnt get back to the home menu.

So, since the game is now available in the eShop as a download version (which can freely be updated to fix the bugs), one have to wonder if they have fixed the bug in the download version.

i can confirm this Bug in the Eu retail Version . .

My 16H Save is corrupted as of now.

i saved in the Pec Room, game froze, all i could do is reset the 3ds. Now its says my save is corrupt and i should delete it . . .great . .just great . .

Months ago they said that the issue can't be fixed.

And i asked them again 2 months ago and they said that they can't fix it.

That's odd. I remember them saying that they went through the code and they were confident that they could overcome the issue. LOL Oh well. Guess not.

Like others have said I've only saved during novel sections and not in puzzle rooms. My Last Reward for my dedication to avoiding the bug? A beautiful, bouncing 100% save file. finding someone to vote to betray Luna however took over a week to do as I couldn't do it myself.

Problem is, you´re not going to look for "virtues last reward save bug" on the net unless it already happened to you . . now its 2 late

always wait a week before buying or research the japanese versions of games before buying to ensure the game isn't gonna bork on ya. It's why I have yet to play skyrim since my pc isn't good enough to play it and the console versions have annoying bugs in them according to the first wave of players. It really helped me from buying simcity too
