Hacking My R4 Clone won't read some cheats... Among other things.

It's an R4RTS... The one from the website www.r4rts.cn.... That doesn't exist anymore.

On some games it doesn't show the cheat option so I can't select it and play with cheats.

I can't use Wood R4 because it crashes upon starting a game... Though a version meant for the Acekard worked at some point.

I can't use YSMenu because of an unsupported DLDI

And I can't use MAIO because it crashes for no reason on startup.

Replace your usrchat.deat with an updated one.

This, and if it's anything like the original R4, it won't work properly if the usrcheat.dat is too big. Might have to delete the entries for all J region games, or something like that.

It seems it uses a gameid.cht file to check if a game has cheats or not... Even if there aren't cheats it will still say there are.

Deleting the gameid.cht and cheat.ini forces it to regenerate the list. All is well!
