Hi, All of you, i'm Diego from Brazil

The SD Slot from my Wii has broken
My Wii is on 4.3U
i have a Modchip (clone), so many games work (Game Cube as well)
but i don't have Homebrew Channel on my Wii =/
I Want to install but i can't!
i've changed the "main.dol" files from some games puting the Hackmii installer
But the Wii give a error (maybe i'ts the Firmware that block when he see the DVD files)

There's some reason for this? there's a DVD modified with Hackmii that the 4.3u can readed?

Thank you all

In order to be able to install the Homebrew Channel from a burnt disc using your modchip, you have to be on Wii version 3.2U or lower. If you want to install the Homebrew Channel, you need to be able to use an SD card.

Alternatively, if you already have hacks installed (like Priiloader or a forwarder channel), you can use those to install the Homebrew Channel.

Just curious, do versions higher than 3.2 block ANY homebrew running through a modchip or just some? Is there a way to replace it with some other homebrew like WiiXplorer or MMM that can also run files and run it through that off of USB or something? I don't know much about this particular subject matter so just curious.

Or maybe if you replaced one of the alt DOL's used in some games to make it load later on in the game or something. ... or put a WAD in the update partition and get it to install somehow ... or replace the WAD for the Mario Kart Wii channel ...

Probably all stupid ideas here but just throwing them out there to see if anything helps.

Any system menu above 3.2 has the trucha bug fixed, specifically fixed in the system ios. If the system ios does not have the trucha bug, you can not load fakesigned disc from the system/recovery menu. In some cases the system ios does not have the trucha bug, but another official wii disc game ios does. In some cases you can load an authentic N disc from the system menu, one the runs on such ios with trucha bug, then do the swap disc trick to load the fakesigned disc. Changing anything withing the data partition will invalidate the N signature, so you must fakesign. This means that all homebrew disc have fakesign and need the system ios, and running ios to have the trucka bug to work. In most cases, system ios and running ios can be the same if needed, some only trucka in system ios is required, or a swap method to use.

It's Curious, 'cause, Wii Modified Games (even a single archive from the DVD) they don't Work...
but, Game Cube modified games, they STILL Works (i have Wind Waker in my country language here running)

So, i've tried to make a Game cube DVD Multidisk.. and put one of the games with a dol modified (putting the Hackmii installer on it)
and the DVD Runned! but.. when he say "Boot DVD", the Wii Drive Disk load but don't show the games.. backing to "boot dvd" over and over again... and if i try to change the Game Cube disk to another one... when i hit "boot DVD" the Wii Disk Drive don't work anymore...

No way to use usb guys?
There's no existing exploit that uses the USB ports. An SD card is required for the initial installation of the Homebrew Channel. If one is on System Menu 3.2 or lower and has a modchip, it's possible to install the Homebrew Channel from a burnt disc.

Once the Homebrew Channel is installed, one can run things from USB all he/she wants.
