On the back of a 32GB box, the product description clearly states that it can hold 9,136 songs. Well that is a lie. According to Kotaku reader Lewis bought two 32GB cards: One for games and one for music. He was shocked to see that the limit was 4000 songs!
Wow, Sony is a lie. I think we should boycott them or sign a petition to run them out of business for this. I hope someone sues over this.

the card can hold that many song,
the info on the back is just to show the info about the card on how much it can hold,, ALL (if not most) memory cards have some thing like that

but the vita has a 4000 limit
just like the 100 app limit for game/apps on the home screen
the vita may have a limit on how many there can be video

all can be fixed with a FW update at some point

who the hell uses a vita for music oh wait it doesn't even have games what else is there to do ;O;
I do. I often turn on Youtube on my 3G PSVita while I'm on the bus and listen not to 4000 songs, not to 32GB's of songs but to any song my ears desires - I'm yet to find one that isn't on Youtube yet.

...oh? Your 3DS doesn't have 3G? Or a Youtube app for that matter? Or Bluetooth so that you don't have to bother with the ever-tangled headset? Well, that's just sad...

That actually is a bit strange. 4000 is between 256 (max value of one byte, 0x0 = 1) and 65536 (two bytes, 0x00 = 1). Not only that, it's not really a clean number (why not 5000, for instance?). Unless... this is a secret message? Is that it?! I knew it!

I, too, often find myself wanting to waste my megabits downloading an entire video just so I could listen to a song I could have downloaded beforehand and in much higher quality. #sonyfanboylogic

Nah, I kid, I kid. Mobile Youtube is a neat feature, and totally compensates for the lack of gaems :tpi:

To be perfectly honest, I've got a nice 5GB 3G/4G (Obviously using 3G, which is a shame but hey - better than nothing) monthly and I'm yet to run out using it for mobile purposes only.

As for the downloading beforehand, I can't always predict what kind of music I'll be in the mood for so streaming/downloading on the fly works fine for me.

Finally, the so-called "lack of games" which is such a fallacy at this point it's not even funny... I'm perfectly fine with the ones I get from PSPlus as of today. Y'know, because $50 a year grants you PS3/PSVita games on a monthly basis. :tpi:

As for the limit of 4000 songs, I'm pretty sure that's actually the maximum size of a single playlist, of which you can have more than one. Yes, you can import playlists now. It's inconvenient but it works.

I was kidding too y'know, obviously I wasn't ragging on the 3DS just because it doesn't have bloody Youtube.

...that said, I see a lot of potential if they'd utilize 3D in the 3DS version of the App - that'd be a game-changer. I mean, not everyone has 3D glasses so a 3DS could actually become the preferable method of watching 3D content, even if on a small screen... but I digress, 2srs4eof.

I can't predict what kind of music I'll be in the mood for either, that's why my mp3 player can hold more than one song at a time :tpi:

It would be pretty cool, but I was messing with an Evo 3D phone yesterday (same tech as 3DS, glasses-free) and... there's not really much in the 3D youtube department, haha.
