Can't wait till a US announcement, DQ9 was my favorite rpg of all time. Word is this game has avoidable enemies as well.

Never played through DQ7 on ps1 so this will be new to me.

Beings that im trying to work though 4,5 and 6 on the DS, this would be the next logical step to playing 8, so if my Japanese fu gets high enough and i get the confidence, ill import this before it even comes to the US.

Square didn't bring Monster Joker 2 Pro to the west,
I'm afraid they do not bring Monsters Terry Wonderland to us.

Monster Joker was awesome and this looks even better.
Even if I wanted to play the japanese version I can't for the damn region-lock.

Square Enix, it's the only thing I ask, please.

Dragon quest 7 was for the PS1... the next one was for the PS2. See the problem?

I,II,III are nes (as well as GBC games)


some are also on the SNES(V, VI) and V as also a PS2 games(there is a translation patch for it)

VIII may come to the 3ds or vita at some point
and the other ones(I,II,III) could come to the 3ds VC at some point as well

In an interview with the localization team behind Fire Emblem Awakening, several members mentioned their love of DQVII on the 3DS and their wish, and availability, to translate the game, should Nintendo want.

However they also mentioned that there were essentially two titles on NoA's platter: Bravely Default, or Dragon Quest VII. The interview suggested that NoA went with the more profitable investment of localizing Bravely Default, and that DQVII would be a later choice for localization, down the line.

There are also SFC versions of 1-3 (gbc versions were based on these) and a PSX version of 4 (DS version was based on this) all jap only, though 1-3 have eng translation patches.
