SEGA, for the past few days, have been teasing fans with a new Sonic game. Sources "close to SEGA" state that there will be an announcement in February, of a main-series Sonic game. The game is stated to stick to the "Colors and Generations boost gameplay" style. It is said that there will be multiple characters playable, and multiple paths available for each character, ala Sonic 3 & Knuckles and Sonic Advance.

Yesterday, Aaron Weber (Brand manager at SEGA) posted this photo on Twitter, with the caption, "Sonic's next big adventure begins in the...Great State Of Texas!"

This may mean that SEGA will announce the new Sonic game in a press conference in Texas this month. Or....we're all gonna be trolled, and "Sonic the Western" will be released next fall.

Funnily enough, I just beat Generations a couple days ago. But shit am I the only one who thinks that it was really hard and you go waaaaay too fast? I mean, I get that Sonic is about speed, but it's kind of hard to get all the red stars when they're on the screen for less than a second.

You think that Generations is too fast? Just try Unleashed and see if your opinion changes.

probably cause the gameplay is more geared towards reflexes and memorization of the levels, even the classic game had that to a certain extent, they just cranked it to 11 nowadays lol

I tend to see 3D sonic games as more like racing games, it's not that much about platforming so much as it is getting the perfect run and completing it in the quickest time possible to get the S rank

Still going too fast. With the older, classic games, you could be going fast, even with the speed shoes, and you could still have enough time to hit the jump button or something. In Generations, I found that Sonic goes waaaay too fast for the human reflex to press it in time, unless you extremely memorize the level. Which brings me to the point where the older games weren't that hard to take the best route, or anything, it was the perfect speed. But in Generations, I've found myself, literally jumping and/or not knowing where to go, and falling down to the bottom of the level. I get that Sonic is about speed, but dammit, tone it down just a little bit. The classic Sonic stages in Generations were awesome, if not a little bit difficult. The foreground and where you can go just needs to stick out just a little bit more.

Sonic Unleashed on PC? There is no PC version.

It may be a bit fast, but it's not hard to get used to the speed, nor is the game itself hard. I died 3 times in classic Crisis City and I still got an A-rank. You can always play boostless, which lowers the speed greatly, yet you can still get an S-rank.

OMG IT BETTER BE AS FAST AS SONIC UNLEASHED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'd love it if sonic were as fast as he was in Unleashed and Sega kept Generations' speed in Knuckles and Colours' speed in Tails (there are going to be many playable characters after all).
