Click on the above link and put in your work and/or university email address. If it works, you'll get an email back that allows you to download a full version of Office 2013 Pro Plus (or Office 2011 for Mac) for $10, with the option to get a dvd for another $13. It worked fine for me with my university address. No guarantees for anybody else, of course...

Works for me. Now to decide if I really do want to buy it since I don't really use it that much.

Mine worked. I'm on the same deal with stab... I'm not sure if I really want it that bad (although $10 is practically free)

It's still not free though.

It's "practically" free. As in, the amount of money I would spend on it would be similar to almost spending nothing at all. Which is less than .16% what I made this month not including my tax return.

I went ahead and bought it even though I have had exactly free previous office copies.

Dreamspark Premium + Staff/Faculty discounts = All MS Dreamspark software for free + Faculty discounts for the rest (for example MS Office (Win/OSX) at roughly 6€ + VAT) :P

Gotta say that I like what Microsoft is doing with students/universities. After getting into the Uni, I can't see why anyone studying (with access to DS) would prefer to illegally download one of the programs..

ps. It took my Uni 4 years to get Dreamspark access to all students (including me).. At first it was only for about 2 study programs out of roughly 15 and I study at a University of Technology :glare:

Hmm, I have dreamspark access, but here in Sweden we have some "special deal" for students on Office 2010 (yeah.. 2010, not 2013) for 925 SEK which is $145... bah, humbug!

That's nice, but is there any reason to upgrade? I already have 2010, and I can't imagine there will be any radical changes - or that my professors will demand I use the latest version for their courses.
