Famitsu has tidbits about Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon and mentions the Nintendo 3DS game will have multiplayer modes. Famitsu says Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon will support download play, local play, and online play

What, it's from a magazine that reviews the game, just like IGN or other games sites. Also the box cover has a N+ logo so makes sense as it does have connection to online. It's not a rumour when a reputable source states it for a game they reviewed.

Don't worry, there is online multiplayer. Siliconera is one of best sites that translate Japanese related news to us, they have hold of the Famitsu magazine that states it. Some people are less knowledgeable.

I wasn't so interested in Luigi's Mansion but if the things about online are true, i might buy it then.

To further support this, I contact GameXplain on twitter and asked Andre about online multiplayer because he's spent a lot of time with it, and this was the message he tweeted back:

It has the nintendo network sign like gamerz said. Just hope it be a good online game
