So as you may have heard Resident evil revelations may be ported to consoles. I personally think this is a stab in the back to customers since they are basically making a better version of the game in every way and screwing over handheld users who bought the game. I am always against a handheld game being ported over. I don't mind there being spinoffs of a series but the same game being ported to a better system so soon is pretty disgusting on capcoms part.

What do you guys think?

Were PSP owners screwed over when Konami ported Peacewalker to the PS360 or when Capcom ported Monster Hunter Portable 3rd to the PS3? This is simply an opportunity for more people to experience this great game.

Angry because it's a potentially better version? Well revel in the fact that you have a portable version of the game that can display in 3D.

We don't see those opportunities a lot on Nintendo systems.

It's pretty disappointing, yeah. Rather than develop new something new for everyone to enjoy, Capcom would rather port a handheld game that most interested people have already played to home consoles.

That's ridiculous. They aren't betraying you by making a new version. They didn't say "If you buy the 3DS version, we promise that we won't release it for a console since it has more resources." Even if they had, why would that encourage you to buy a 3DS version? Do you just not want other people to be able to play the game?

It's like Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown all over again.

(For those who are unfamiliar with that, it was supposed to be an exclusive for the DS, until Sony fanboys starting whining and they ported it to the PSP to shut them up.)

And you hated that other people were able to play the game?

Taking into acount that RE5 and RE6 were kind of a let down, it will be good to see if Revelations will manage to outsell the others.

By the way, I see no reason why RE: R couldn't be ported to the Wii ^^ It could keep the same visuals as the 3DS and still be considered graphically good compared to the other Resident Evil entries in the Wii

@RodrigoDavy Wii or Wii U? Because the Wii could not run this game without downgrades.

I dont mind the decision, Its a great game and in doing this they will generate alot of praise for "this" style resident evil and hopefully stop them thinking the "run and gun" style of gameplay is what people want when they buy it (like the AWFUL Resident evil 6) Which will mean a possible follow up to revelations or maybe not even a follow up at all, just another game with the same feel and great voice acting (which is something thats often overlooked)

I just think that "exclusives" shouldnt exsist, hell i could name about 10 games i want ported for PC and dear god how i would love littlebigplanet to be on 3DS and im sure alot of people who dont own nintendo consoles want smash brothers and mario kart too.

i think that it should better to keep RE:R on the 3ds, since its( or was) exclusive for the 3ds, it could make more people buy the system.

Why is the first reply the worst reply?

It's not better for anyone for it to be an exclusive. Anyone who would have bought the system simply for RE:R would have by now. Now they can port the game and them make more money.
