I got a 360 and four controllers for Christmas, but only two player games. The younger family members will be playing this, so can someone recommend a non-M-rated game that supports four players on one system? Friends are coming over soon so sooner is better than later.

Thanks

There are precious few four player local titles and only a handful more if you include system link which I guess is out here. I am not sure what goes in sports games these days.
Viva Pinata might be worth a look though I am not sure what went here.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 though I just checked and online prices are insane.
Blur - do not go in assuming mario kart and it will be better for you. As a testament to how much local four player is looked down upon by game devs this actually got picked up on by players and reviewers alike because of it. If you are after a more mario kart type experience you might consider Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing but I have never played it or heard much about it so I leave that to you to research.

Other than that you are left with a few tepid shooting games, some older games, music games and not a lot else.

XBLA does quite a bit better, though I tend not to make it past the XBLA port of Perfect Dark, that is fine as I still contend it has one of the finest multiplayer modes around. Still Bomberman features in here as do games like N+ though the whole multiplayer likelihood to end up ruining friendships thing from home console New Super Mario Brothers is magnified here. Brawlers a la streets of rage exist but do check out the demos beforehand as not all are that good.

Co-optimus is worth a look through though they do as their name says and only really deal with co-op games rather than straight multiplayer.
