Who is said analyst? All I see is a random spreadsheet.

What does all of that even mean? 'Profits' from hardware sales? Profits from everything related to the systems?
When I post threads, I make sure it's actually something that's even remotely worth a read, and I usually measure other "news threads" with the same scale of sh*t/not sh*t. This of course often leads to disappointment, as apparently with basic Excel skills, you can consider yourself an "analyst".
This is what counts for "analysis" now?

Now why is that?
A brief skim of the article and I'm not seeing that it really counts software into the numbers (correct me if I'm wrong). That's a huge thing to leave out.
Of course Sony at least lost money on the PS3, because they sold it at a loss. With software on the other hand, it's a different story.
