How do you format a drive to WBFS on a Mac?

I've got the USB drive I'm going to use already.

Oh, and I have a 2004 PowerBook G4 (old

) and it runs on PowerPC, NOT INTEL!!

So no Intel apps for me!

Thanks in advance!

WBFS for MacOS X can indeed format, from the advanced menu option.

WBFS for MacOS X 1.2 is how I formatted my drive on Mac. v1.1 would constantly fail. As previously, mentioned -- just make sure its formatted as FAT first through Disk Utility. You can also run the more popular Windows version WBFS Manager (and WiiScrubber) under WINE.

He said that he's on a PowerBook so not an Intel Mac, therefore WINE won't run on it.

I run a mac mini but you can get vmwave for powerpc and the way i did it, all on my mac, was i put windows 7 on a virtual drive using vmware and formatted my drive that way and i use it to put the games on too because wbfs for mac won't find the drive even after its been formatted

DUDE.....it's 2012, look at the post you reply upon.
anyway, wbfs is OUTDATED. Fat32 is the way to go now.

Hi all. I know it's an old thread, but I'm confused: some say "WBFS", some say "FAT32"... so what now? I'm on a MacBook Pro and have a spare 500 GB HDD which I'd like to use for my WII. Can somebody point me into the right direction, on how to proceed to get it working?
Thanks,
F.

Hi Jeannotte - I already got this installed but am unable to achieve any goal. Let's start from the beginning: I want to use FAT32, because I remember being able to simply copy .wbfs files from my MacBook over to my USB HDD. I did this today, but my WII didn't recognize and partition :-/
Thanks!
F.
