Is there any way to have the cart boot straight into the YSMenu which comes from RGF's update? Thanks!
Which flashcard are you referring to? In most cases, all you have to do is DLDI patch the ysmenu.nds with the DLDI for your card and rename the ysmenu.nds to whatever the boot file is for your card. Then replace the old boot file (or rename it to keep it.)

I have all of the card backed up at any rate :) the card is this (R4dsll) and it boots into a modified version of YSMenu methinks. What is DLDI? What I'm doing now is running the downloaded YSMenu.nds after the cart boots.

Ok, got it. Now, for the ultimate noob question (I am one and very proud): ...how do I find my boot file? I've got a SYSTEM folder but there's no .nds file there, and there's no BOOT folder or anything along those lines.

Alright, I am my laptop now and looking at the kernel, which I downloaded myself. It appears to be simple DSTT clone like I guested, so I believe you just need to rename the "ysmenu.nds" to "iLL.iL" and that should work.

EDIT: To be correct, it looks like it's a clone of another DSTT clone, turned into this card, because there is serious mess going on in the official kernel.

Try the one with the .3ds extension.
Didn't work
Try rename it till it does work. One of those files has to be the right one.
Try renaming it to ttmenu.dat, maybe they ripped off the DSTT more than I thought.
Okay. I'm now going to try with every file. Wish me luck!

EDIT: So... Progress! Sort of. The file which had to be renamed was R4i.TP. Now I'm booting into "can't fatInitDefault". I'll run a quick Google search to see if I can solve this.

EDIT 2: woot! It's working! I just had to take TTMenu.dat from RGF's file and rename it to R4i.TP. The problem was with renaming YSMenu.nds, that couldn't be booted. Now everything's peachy and I don't have to deal with the default shit kernel ever again. Thanks a lot!

Hello, I'm new here. I have a question and I could not find the answer (even thru' google), couldn't be sure was it a limitation.
My card is R4sdhc using 8GB, whether I'm using YSMENU or Wood_R4, whenever I placed more than 44 nds games, I could not access the 45th game and onwards. Has anyone been getting the same problem as I'm, was it a limitation bug? Thanks in advance to anyone who answer me, thanks.

My MicroSD is from Sandisk, genuine with 8GB, not fake which I can be assure (SDFormatter shows 7.39GB), I might still be able to dig out the packaging come with it :P. 44 did seem odd to me too, I did try out once which is 45. Most of the time is 44 (aka 3pages in YSMENU) and following can't be played, original r4sdhc firmware is playing alright, except sometime no picture icons. That's why I'm asking around here to check it out. I do have a 16GB MicroSD but still having same result (limitation of 44) too. Do U have anymore ideas which it can happens? Thanks for reply.

I was thinking that it might be a bug or limitation in YSMENU in r4sdhc, but guess its not that important as it may be.
I will just have the games that cannot be played by my r4sdhc firmware to use YSMENU. Thanks for your kind reply. Thanks.

Been testing out, and found its some what of the limitation of accessing beyond 4GB. With my original r4sdhc v1.34, game icon was not able to be seen but game still can be played, while YSMENU cannot get game icon and play the game too. Just for information only. Thanks.

Hello all, I have visited here frequently and just signed up. I am having some issues with this RetroGameFan update. Possibly give some direction. I have a r4i flashcart from www.r4i.cn. I have read the installation notes that state my cart works in Dual Boot mode. I opened the update and there are two r4i SDHC YSemu folders. One with a hyphen and the other without. It does not matter which one I try, I either get dual white screens and nothing happens or I get one black screen one white screen nothing happens. I have the latest kernel 1.60 from the r4i.cn website.
