Hacking PS Vita having sex with 3DS

Lol misleading title I know...but I was wondering if the Vita could emulate the 3DS...it has the equptment but the power that's another issue.

Is this a dumb question?

Actually, it's a PSP Mode exploit. Not the first one at that. Previously we had exploits based on Urbanix, Mad Blocker and Monster Hunter games. It doesn't allow native PSVita code execution.

Oh damn....that was the reason I posted in the first place. Still that's pretty cool but sucks to know Vita can't emulate it. I would get rid of my 3ds and get a Vita in a heartbeat if it ever became possible.

The vita doesn't have the right hardware, It needs a different screen to do 3d, It would also need a bigger screen. And who knows how that capacitive touch screen will work trying to put in resistive commands. We still don't have the full power of the vita yet either, once we get an Open SDK then we can talk emulators like PS2 or GC . Never 3DS. I'd be surprised if you got a NDS emulator. Right now all you can do is what the psp could do.

I wouldn't say this is impossible -- just unlikely. Vita has a better ARM architecture and is 8x as fast. (2ghz v. 268mhz). Memory could be as issue though*, just a 4x diff there. If I recall the n64 and psp had a more narrow gap in power and it was possible to emulate the n64.

The N64 is a bad example since the it's convoluted as hell.

Also, remember that the 3DS is dual-core.

No you wouldn't, the 3ds's screens are both 240 pixels for 480 total. The Vita is 544. Both screens could fit on the vita in 2d mode.

I'm not saying this will ever happen. It would be very slow if it worked at all. DS emulation however ... drool.

Why would you do that the Vita sucks compared to 3DS I should know because I own one and I have to say it has a lot of problems with it than I can count the 3DS is way better than the Vita in my own opinion.

I didn't create this thread to have a debate between which system is better, to quickly put that into the grindstone I can easily say the Vita is better because of hardware.
