The upcoming Falcom game Legend of Heroes - Trails in the Flash is confirmed to feature cross-platform saving - players will be able to play their game at home on their PS3's and then take the adventure with them on a PSVita. According to the developers, the two games are identical content-wise and they're the largest Trails game yet - an equivalent of four light novels. The game will cover the invasion of the Great Erebonian Empire, previously referenced in Trails of the Sky.
Honestly? The game looks fantastic so far, I'd love to see it translated and distributed worldwide. Here's for hoping that its huge size will not extend the translation period.

Is this even getting localized?

TitS was actually pretty good, even by JRPG standards. I'd bite on a sequel.
The game is to be released in 2013 and there's no word on a localization yet. Judging from the fact that it took them about 6 years to localize Trails in the Sky, it's fair to assume that we won't play this game in English anytime soon, if at all.

Still, one can dream... I mean, look at it - it's gorgeous.

But cool. Cross-platform save support for a cross-platform game isn't exactly a shocker, though.

Keepin' the dream alive indeed - it's Jump Festa time, so it's natural to expect a whole lot of news popping up. I have DS-Scene to post 3DS-related news, I dump PSVita news here since nobody else does it. :P

Let's call it "dispelling the no gaems myth". ;O;

As for cross-platform saving, I think it's a really cool feature and it should be marketed strongly. As a person who has little time to play on a home console, I'd love to be able to take my adventures outside. As long as the two games are sold in a bundle or the prices aren't through the roof, I'm welcoming any cross-platform games.

Full HD at home plus quality portable gaming, what's not to like? :)

and here I thought it was a new Legend of Heroes game... :(
looks quite generic in my eyes, but I'll probably get it if it's got any good music :)
that is, if it's ever localized for europe.

Still a shocker in the sense that there aren't many games supporting it. At least I don't know of many (if any) games for the PS3/PSP or Wii(U)/(3)DS(i) games that support it in this sense.

On the news itself: If this comes a standard of some sorts, I'd imagine I could actually finish quite a few games I'm waiting to play. Most of them have suffered from not having time at home, but still having a ton of time on the bus to Uni/work/etc.

soulx wanks off to his 3DS news, Foxi wanks off to his Vita news. It's like yin and yang.

I'm too busy with the #androidmasterrace to bother with you handheld peasants.

But I'd doubt a localization, maybe I'm just a pessimist. I really wish publishers would take advantage of digital-only at times and start pushing some risky localizations digitally. It's cheaper than a full retail release.

Are they all schoolchildren? Anyways, the Vita's library is expanding, that's always good. Game looks great, IMO, never played any game in this franchise though.

I like the look except for the fucking stupid schoolgirl (...) outfits.

(...) It just feels like every outfit is just some variant of a short skirt, stockings, and a generic school shirt for girls. Like get some new art, Christ.
I'm sorry, I think I'm too hetero to understand your argument... what exactly is your point? :creep:

I swear to God, the press release said she was 18! ;O;

Well even if that's what gets your blood pumping, think of it like this. Women in bikinis are hot. But if every game had every woman in a bikini, even if it didn't fit the setting, you'd just find it stupid and it'd get boring.

Like if I'm a young female whose going to go out adventuring, I don't think I'll bring my school outfit. I think I'd bring like... some armor. Or my sweats.
